Sultan Phinisi fører deg til Komodo, Padar, Pink Beach og Rinca — naturarven i sitt vakreste uttrykk.
KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

At 24 weeks, comfort is non-negotiable. The Sultan Phinisi delivered with understated elegance. The babymoon was unplanned, but the crew adapted—extra pillows, morning ginger infusions, and shaded lounging on deck during our stop at Crystal Rock, where visibility exceeded 20 meters. My husband snorkeled while I rested in a daybed, watching fusiliers weave through coral spires. The cabin’s layout allowed privacy without isolation—important when emotions run close to the surface. Dinners were leisurely: seared scallops with kaffir lime, then dark chocolate soufflé that arrived with a whisper of congratulation. We anchored near Komodo Island one night; the scent of dry forest carried across the water. My one wish? More prenatal yoga options—though the masseuse did offer a modified lower-back treatment that eased the day’s sway. The boat feels lived-in but cared for—wood polished, linens crisp. It’s not flashy, but it’s deeply considered, like a well-edited wardrobe. We left feeling reset, not just relaxed.

I came for silence. The Sultan Phinisi offered it in waves. As part of a wellness group, I’d expected structure, but instead found freedom. Each morning, I chose: yoga on deck, a swim off the stern, or coffee in the salon with a novel. At Crystal Rock, the water was glass—so clear I could see my reflection and the reef below at once. I stayed vertical for twenty minutes, suspended between two worlds. The masseuse used warmed candlenut oil, which smelled of rain and earth. Evenings were candlelit, no overhead lights, just the sway of the boat near Komodo Island. The food was seasonal and local—grilled barramundi, bitterleaf salad, mango with chili salt. My only minor note: the shower drain occasionally gurgled, likely from the pump system. But that’s the sound of a working vessel, not a resort. The staff never hovered—just appeared with a towel or a suggestion when needed. By the third day, I stopped journaling. There was nothing left to record—only sensation. The kind of peace that doesn’t need translation.

I’ve done megayachts—this was better. The Sultan Phinisi doesn’t shout wealth; it understands it. Arriving at Nusa Kode, where the beach runs for kilometers and no one else is in sight, felt like a private concession. The dive master knew the current shifts at Crystal Rock like a conductor—got us into the drift just as the mantas arrived. I’m not one for sentiment, but there was a moment—floating above the reef, mask fogged, heart slow—where everything aligned. The boat’s 37 meters feel intimate, not cramped. My cabin had a writing desk, which I used each evening to journal under lamplight. The galley served a spiced lamb tagine one night that surprised everyone—comforting, yet refined. One note: the solar-powered charging stations in cabins could handle more devices. But that’s nitpicking. What stays with me is the quiet competence of the crew—anticipating a glass of shiraz before I’d even sat, or adjusting course minutely to avoid swell during dinner. Komodo Island’s jagged peaks at dusk still haunt my dreams. We didn’t need more days. We needed time to absorb them.

We did two dives: Crystal Rock dan spot dekat Sebayur Island. Breakfast selalu fresh, omelette on demand. Simply cinematic. Tidak terlalu crowded, kita bisa explore sendiri. Next time, maybe extend to include Wae Rebo, but Sultan Phinisi itself?

Kapalnya antik tapi well-maintained, kayu jatinya masih solid. Spot favorit kita: Bidadari Beach, pasirnya halus banget dan airnya jernih seperti kaca. We spent the whole afternoon there, just swimming and talking. Tapi overall, everything felt curated. Di malam terakhir, captain allow us to stargaze di bow — langit gelap, bintang kelihatan semua. Rasanya seperti dunia ini hanya untuk berdua. Kalau cari intimacy dan natural beauty, Sultan Phinisi is the one.

船内のmaster suiteは会議にも適しており、朝のlight breakfastミーティングは、最高のstart to the day。

Meeting pagi sambil lihat laut biru muda di Padar Island bikin mood langsung up. Will definitely consider extending to 5 days next time.
