For our anniversary, we wanted something beyond resorts. Teman Liveaboard delivered quiet majesty. The craftsmanship—teak hull, hand-sewn sails—feels authentic, not staged. We anchored at Gili Lawa and swam across the strait at low tide, then climbed the hill to see the archipelago sprawled beneath us. Back on deck, the chef had laid out a seafood tartare with finger lime and kaffir. The yacht’s 2017 build shows in its systems—efficient, silent, unobtrusive. One note: the upper deck sun loungers could use more padding for longer stretches. But that’s a luxury complaint. What lingers isn’t the comfort, though it was exceptional. It’s the sense of having touched something ancient, unspoiled.

We kozen Teman Liveaboard voor ons babymoon, en wat een perfecte keuze was dat. Vanaf het moment dat we aan boord stapten, voelde alles luxe en intiem – de master suite met its private deck, de fluwelen service, en die onvergetelijke zonsondergang bij Kalong Island, waar honderden vleermuizen door de lucht cirkelden. Als gezin met een kleine, was ik benieuwd naar de ruimte, maar Teman overtrof onze verwachtingen. De crew was attent zonder opdringerig te zijn, en het ontbijt op het achterdek met uitzicht op Crystal Rock was elke ochtend een highlight. De itinerary was zorgvuldig samengesteld: genoeg avontuur tijdens de snorkeltrip naar Batu Bolong, maar ook ruimte om te relaxen. Mijn enige kleine opmerking? De drone shot vanaf Long Beach had iets scherper gemogen – maar dat neemt niets weg van de overall experience. Nina van Egmond (mijn beste vriendin die meekwam) en ik genoten van elke seconde. At Kalong Island, we watched the exodus of fruit bats at dusk, a river of wings against the orange sky. The next morning, we sailed to Long Beach, where the sand is so fine it squeaks. The crew here operate like silent stewards—present when needed, invisible when not. Our cabin, though small, had cross-ventilation that made AC unnecessary. Only minor gap: limited voltage adaptors in cabins. But again, this is Komodo, not a hotel. Teman respects the wildness of the park. It doesn’t try to conquer it. Un'esperienza di lusso autentico nel cuore del Komodo
Non cercavo semplicemente un liveaboard, ma un vero e proprio sanctuary in mezzo al mare – e Teman Liveaboard ha superato ogni aspettativa. Come solista appassionata di fotografia e benessere, ho trovato nell’itinerario tra Gili Lawa e Batu Bolong l’equilibrio perfetto tra avventura subacquea e tranquillità rigenerante. La master suite, pur essendo elegante e spaziosa, avrebbe potuto avere un po’ più di privacy rispetto al ponte superiore, ma il comfort e il design scandinavo del resto della barca compensano ampiamente. Ogni pasto era una delizia curata dallo chef, con ingredienti locali che esaltavano il territorio. Il team è stato discrete ma attentissimo, sempre pronti a organizzare un drone shot al tramonto o una sessione di yoga al mattino sulla prua. Ciò che rende Teman davvero unico è l’atmosfera: nonostante il lusso, non c’è ostentazione. È un’esperienza intima, quasi personale, adatta tanto a famiglie con ragazzi quanto a chi cerca un wellness retreat. Nuotare tra i current di Batu Bolong, poi, rimarrà uno dei momenti più emozionanti del mio viaggio. Il silenzio del mare di notte, dopo una giornata tra snorkeling e pause meditative a Kalong Island, ha un valore inestimabile. Consigliatissimo a chi cerca un mix di avventura soft e raffinatezza senza fronzoli.

Luxury yang beneran, not just hype!
Baru saja selesai 4 hari di Teman Liveaboard, dan honestly—worth every rupiah. Saya datang bareng istri untuk anniversary, dan mereka handling everything dengan elegance. Dari welcome drink sampai turun di Komodo Island, semua seamless. Kabin kami spacious banget, interior-nya modern minimalis tapi tetap ada nuansa kayu alami yang bikin feel home. Pemandangan di Pink Beach? Out of this world. Airnya jernih banget, anak-anak langsung lompat snorkeling. Oh iya, walau breakfast selalu on point, kadang side dish-nya agak repetitive—tapi hey, bisa request scrambled eggs, jadi fine. The crew? Super attentive. Ada yang langsung ingat nama kita dan preferensi kopi! Wellness corner-nya juga keren, yoga session di deck pagi hari sambil sunrise di Padar Island itu spiritual banget. Highly recommend Teman buat yang cari mix antara luxury dan authentic Komodo experience.
