KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

Sonrasında Kanawa Island’a geçtik; orada master suite’den çıkarken gün doğumu, tam bir Nat Geo anıydı. Crew her detayı önceden hesaplamıştı – özel diet isteklerim bile sabah kahvaltısında karşımıza çıktı. Özellikle service’in understated olması, zoraki lüks değil, real luxury hissettirdi. Sonraki expedition için mutlaka tekrar düşünülecek.

I joined as a solo traveller, initially hesitant about group dynamics. The Lamain Voyage 2’s layout made solitude easy—reading nooks, forward netting, a top deck reachable by narrow ladder. We spent time at Nusa Kode, where the terrain feels lunar—dry, cracked, alive with monitors and skinks. The guide knew the denning patterns, so we saw a female Komodo drag a juvenile into a burrow. At Pink Beach, I swam the coral shelf, then shot wide-angle as the sun hit the sand’s edge. The photography guide adjusted routes based on light forecasts. The boat itself felt like a lens—framing views without distraction. Meals were served family-style: grilled mackerel, jackfruit salad, coconut sago. One suggestion: a small fridge on the upper deck for drinks during long shoots. Otherwise, the rhythm—swim, explore, reflect—felt deeply natural.

Coming from Sydney Harbour, I’m used to boats that shout. The Lamain Voyage 2 does the opposite. It listens. We spent three hours at Pink Beach, where the sand’s hue shifts with cloud cover—sometimes salmon, sometimes terracotta. The crew set up a pop-up shade without being asked. Later, at Kalong Island, we timed our arrival for dusk, when the fruit bats begin their exodus. The boat held position perfectly, bow light off, so we could hear the flapping canopy overhead. As a solo traveller, I valued the crew’s discretion. No forced interactions. One morning, I found a hand-drawn tide chart on my bedside table—marked with optimal snorkel windows. The galley served a spiced coconut broth with blue swimmer crab that tasted like childhood summers. Only quibble: USB-C ports in cabins would future-proof the charge setup. Otherwise, near perfection.

My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary on Lamain Voyage 2 — and it was perfect. The staff knew it was special, quietly decorated our cabin with flower petals and left a bottle of sparkling wine. We spent quiet mornings at Pink Beach, where the sand feels like powder, then explored Komodo Island in the cooler hours. What I loved? The pace — never rushed. We had lazy afternoons on the upper deck, reading, napping, just being. Dinner every night was a curated experience — sometimes Indonesian, sometimes Mediterranean, always paired with good wine. The boat is 41.5 meters, so even with other guests, we never felt crowded. One small critique: the bathtub in our suite was beautiful, but the hot water ran out quickly. Still, a tiny flaw in an otherwise flawless trip. We left feeling reset.

हमने Padar Island के सुबह के गोल्डन लाइट में ट्रेक किया, जहाँ व्यू ऐसा था जैसे कोई drone shot straight out of a luxury travel film।

Our dive group needed reliability—twin compressors, redundant systems, clean water access. The Lamain Voyage 2 exceeded expectations. We did a deep wall dive off Kalong, then a night muck dive with torches. The boat’s positioning was precise, using GPS hold. What stood out was the crew’s dive literacy—they prepped stage bottles exactly when needed, without prompting. At Komodo Island, we hiked to the ranger station for a panoramic view, then snorkeled the northern cove where currents bring in pelagics. The yacht’s layout allowed post-dive gear drying without clutter. One evening, we anchored at Pink Beach and the chef served a ceviche of wahoo with finger lime and kaffir lime leaf. My only critique: a second rinse tank for wide-angle housings would prevent cross-contamination. Otherwise, every dive felt supported, not rushed.

We chartered the Lamain Voyage 2 for a leadership retreat—eight executives, no fanfare. The yacht’s design avoids ostentation; instead, it offers clarity. Wide decks, uncluttered surfaces, ventilation that works with the wind, not against it. We spent a full day on Komodo Island, tracking dragons with a biologist who explained their venom’s coagulant properties. The hike was strenuous, but the guide paced it perfectly. Back on board, the open-air saloon became our war room—laptops, strategy maps, but always with sea breeze. One evening, we anchored at Pink Beach and dined on grilled reef fish with turmeric and galangal. The wine list was concise but intelligent—no showpieces, just drinkable bottles. My only critique: the tender could be slightly larger for wet exits. Otherwise, the balance of work, nature, and quiet was exactly what we needed.
