We began at Kalong Island, where the evening exodus of fruit bats was nothing short of magical. Thousands rising from mangroves like a living storm, silhouetted against a tangerine sky. The next day, Taka Makassar’s sandbar appeared like a dream—shallow, endless blue, perfect for floating and laughing. Our dive group appreciated the streamlined deck setup: gear racks, rinse tanks, and a crew that moved with quiet efficiency. The two cabins were cozy but elegant, with thoughtful touches like handmade soaps and bottled water replenished hourly. My only note? More shade options on the upper deck for midday sun. كمسافرة منفردة من أبو ظبي، بحثت عن رحلة آمنة ومريحة في كومودو، ووجدت ضالتي في East Cruise Fast Boat. رغم أنني كنت المسافرة الوحيدة في الكابينة، شعرت بالترحاب التام من الطاقم. جئت بحثًا عن السلام، ووجدته في Bidadari Beach، حيث قضيت ساعة أمارس اليوجا على الرمال، ثم سبحت في المياه الهادئة. اليوم التالي كنا في Manta Point — مشهد فرس الحوت يسبح بجانب القارب كان spiritual جدًا. الكابينة كانت نظيفة، والمياه الساخنة تعمل بشكل جيد (نادر في القوارب الصغيرة!). لم يكن هناك مساحة كبيرة للتجول، لكنني فضّلت ذلك — شعرت أن القارب كله لي وحدي. Perfect babymoon met uitzicht en privacy
De East Cruise Fast Boat voelde als een welverdiende upgrade van onze drukke levens in Amsterdam. Voor onze babymoon wilden we iets intiems, maar toch met genoeg ruimte om te bewegen – en deze 14-meter phinisi leverde precies dat. De master suite is kleiner dan bij sommige grotere luxe jachten, maar de kwaliteit van de finish en de stilte 's nachts maakten dat snel goed. We voelden ons echt weg van de wereld, vooral toen we verankerd lagen bij Gili Lawa, waar het turquoise water bijna surreëel was. Vanaf daar hebben we een drone shot gemaakt die later onze screensaver werd. Manta Point was een andere highlight: het gevoel van gewichtloosheid terwijl je ze ziet glijden onder je – pure magic. De crew was discreet, maar altijd een stap voor, met bijvoorbeeld warme handdoekjes na een snorkeltrip of een lichte smoothie op het dek. Het itinerary was strak, maar goed afgestemd – genoeg tijd om te rusten, maar ook om Rinca Island te bezoeken zonder haast. Met zwangerschap is comfort essentieel, en hier voelde alles light en natural. Een klein puntje: de airco in de cabine kon iets krachtiger, vooral op de middag. Maar dat is echt nitpicking. Voor een 4-day escape met diepe luxe-vibes en minimale stress? This is the experience.

Where Rugged Meets Refined
Komodo demands a certain kind of vessel—one that can handle choppy straits yet cradle you in comfort. East Cruise Fast Boat does exactly that. As a photographer documenting marine biodiversity, I needed reliable access and stable platforms. At Castle Rock, the crew positioned us perfectly for wide-angle reef shots, and the dive ladder made re-entries effortless. Later, Padar Island’s panoramic cliffs offered once-in-a-lifetime framing at sunrise. The boat’s compact size meant quick transitions between sites—no wasted daylight. Interior-wise, the two cabins are simple but elegant: linen curtains, hand-polished wood, and ample natural light. The galley served some of the best Indonesian fusion I’ve had at sea—think seared skipjack with tamarind glaze. My only note: more USB-C ports in cabins would be welcome for modern gear. But that’s a small ask. East Cruise balanced adventure with comfort in a way few small yachts manage.
East Cruise ile Honeymoon Tam Bir Dream Escape
Komodo’yu bu kadar özel bir şekilde keşfedeceğimi hiç tahmin etmezdim. East Cruise Fast Boat ile 4 günlük honeymoon vaktimiz neredeyse kusursuzdu – özellikle Taka Makassar’da sabah kahvaltısını denizin ortasında yapmak ve ardından Batu Bolong’a gelen soft coral’lar arasında drift dive yapmak unforgettable bir deneyim oldu. Master suite küçük ama çok şık, özellikle sabahları ışığın o pencereden girme açısı için tek kelime: perfect. Yat 14 metre ama hissettirdiği lüks, sanki çok daha büyük bir gemideymiş gibi. Kaptan ekibi oldukça pro ve itinerari çok iyi planlanmış – sadece bir gün Castle Rock’ta biraz daha uzun kalmak istedik, çünkü oradaki mantas gerçekten başka dünyaydı. Drone shot ile çekilen anlarımızı görünce, hayatım boyunca saklayacağım bir video haline geldi. Gelinlikle Gili Lawa’da plaj yürüyüşü yapmak, gerçekten cinematic bir an oldu – doğa, sessizlik ve o saf mavilik içinde kalmak, corporate life’dan uzaklaşmanın en iyi yolu. East Cruise, lüks değil ama 'authentic luxury' yaratmayı başarmış. Tek küçük eksik: daha iyi bir espresso makinesi olabilir, çünkü sabahları biraz bayağı kahve vardı. Ama bu, unutulmayacak bir tatilin tek ufak gölgesi. Dive grubumuz da ekstra servis için teşekkür etti – özellikle tank doldurma konusundaki hızlı destekleri için.

We needed space to strategize and moments to reconnect, and Komodo’s dramatic landscapes provided both. Early one morning, we held a leadership session on the upper deck, laptops open as dolphins raced the bow. Later, a dive at Castle Rock reminded us of nature’s complexity—currents, color, chaos, balance. The boat’s agility allowed us to maximize our time, hopping from Komodo Island’s dragon trails to Taka Makassar’s surreal sandbar in a single day. With only two cabins, privacy was limited, but the layout encouraged collaboration—perfect for our purpose. The crew were discreet yet proactive, serving herbal tea before we realized we wanted it. My only note? More ergonomic seating for long meetings. But that’s a minor gap. East Cruise Fast Boat didn’t just host us—it enhanced our journey.
Unfiltered Joy on a Wooden Keel
Our friends’ getaway on East Cruise Fast Boat was equal parts adventure and ease. With only two cabins, it’s best suited for tight-knit groups—and we were seven, so space was snug but never uncomfortable. The common areas shine: the open lounge, the forward sunpad, the al fresco dining table where we shared spicy sambal and cold Bintang under the stars. Kanawa Island was our first stop—shallow lagoons, soft sand, and clownfish darting through anemones. We spent hours snorkeling, then lounged on the deck with fresh pineapple. Padar Island’s hike was challenging but worth it: that aerial view of three bays in varying blues is etched into my memory. The boat, built in 2018, runs smoothly—hot water, strong fans, reliable Wi-Fi when near shore. My only critique? The lower cabin gets warm by afternoon; better insulation would help. But the crew compensated with iced towels and perfectly timed shade. East Cruise made us feel like explorers, not tourists.
