Built in 2023, it has the warmth of aged wood but the efficiency of modern systems—silent generators, reverse osmosis water, and lighting that never spills into the night sky. We came for our daughter’s 16th birthday, a mix of celebration and quiet awe. Snorkelling at Crystal Rock, she saw her first reef shark—calm, curious, and utterly wild. The crew marked the occasion with a small cake and a star map of that night’s sky. At Kalong Island, we watched the bats spiral into dusk, and later, bioluminescence flickered in our wake. The cabins are intimate but never cramped. I’d have liked a slightly longer itinerary—six days felt like a proper immersion, but just shy of full surrender. The absence of crowds, though—that was the real gift.

Took our two children, 9 and 12, through Komodo with the Nara Sea Phinisi, skeptical that luxury and family could coexist. They did, effortlessly. The crew anticipated needs—small robes in the bathroom, early dinners with modified spice levels, even a floating net off the stern for the kids to dangle in safely. We spent a morning at Batu Bolong, snorkelling the outer reef. The younger one saw a turtle wedged in coral; the guide gently, silently, helped dislodge it—no drama, just competence. Later, a hike on Nusa Kode revealed pink sand and a monitor lizard the kids swore was 10 feet long (probably half that, but still). The yacht’s common area doubled as a quiet study—my wife read, I worked on edits, all with sea breeze and zero engine noise. Aircon was flawless. Wi-Fi, again, spotty—but we’d warned the kids. Como fotógrafo de natureza, viajo com peso extra de equipamento e exigência de timing. O Nara Sea Phinisi surpreendeu positivamente durante minha expedição solo. O staff não só acomodou meu kit de câmeras como sugeriu ângulos em Castle Rock que eu não tinha considerado — o conhecimento local fez diferença. Em Padar Island, subimos antes do nascer do sol; o barco ancorou em uma baía protegida, e em 20 minutos já estávamos no topo. A vista ampla do triângulo de praias ao amanhecer rendeu um dos melhores drone shots da minha coleção. Os interiores são clean, com tons neutros que não competem com a paisagem externa — sinal de um bom design. Cabine 3, onde fiquei, tem ventilação cruzada eficiente, mesmo com o calor alto. Comentaram que o barco foi lançado em 2023, e isso se nota: tudo funciona, nada range. Só senti falta de mais um dia no norte do parque — talvez estender o itinerary para Rinca? Mas entendo as limitações logísticas. No geral, uma experiência refinada, sem ostentação. Voltaria só para repetir o café da manhã servido em Sebayur, com frutas tropicais frescas e o silêncio do manguezal ao fundo.

A bordo del Nara Sea Phinisi per un photography expedition di quattro giorni, ho trovato esattamente ciò che cercavo: un equilibrio tra discrezione e lusso soft. Le linee tradizionali del phinisi, costruito nel 2023, si fondono con interni in teak chiaro e tessuti neutri che non distraggono — perfetto per chi viaggia con attrezzatura e occhio critico. La master suite poppa ha una luce naturale incredibile, quasi cinematografica all’alba. Abbiamo trascorso una giornata intera a Sebayur Island, dove il silenzio e la tonalità turchese acceso hanno reso ogni drone shot impeccabile. Il team è stato attento senza essere invadente, con un sommelier che ha abbinato vini locali a piatti rivisitati in chiave moderna. A Gili Lawa abbiamo fatto snorkeling al tramonto, avvistando banchi di fusiliere blu e un piccolo squalo nutrice — esperienza da ricordare. Forse l’unica nota: il wifi a bordo è limitato, ma in fondo non era questo il piano. Avrei voluto un giorno in più sull’itinerary per esplorare meglio Nusa Kode, ma forse è meglio lasciare qualcosa in sospeso. Il personale parla un inglese impeccabile, ma apprezzato i tocchi di italiano nel servizio — piccoli dettagli che fanno sentire a casa, anche a 30 miglia da Labuan Bajo.
