Mit acht Freunden aus dem Uni-Zeit suchten wir Abstand – die Cheng Ho bot genau das. Die Master Suite nutzte ich mit meiner Partnerin – der freie Blick auf das Wasser bei Nacht war unbezahlbar. Unser Highlight: ein spontaneous Stop bei Nusa Kode, wo wir mit lokalen Fischern schnorchelten. Die Farben unter Wasser waren surreal – wie in einem Traum. Die Standard Cabins sind gut durchdacht, besonders die Lüftungssysteme. Abends gab es gemeinsame dinners mit Wein und Geschichten – der sound of silence war der beste Begleiter. Lediglich das WiFi war slow – aber das war Teil des Reizes. Die Itinerary war flexibel, nicht starr – was für ein friends getaway entscheidend ist. In Manta Point war der Anblick überwältigend: Dutzende Mantas, die wie Papierschiffe durchs Blau glitten. Am nächsten Tag schnorchelten wir bei Taka Makassar – die Farben der Korallen waren intensiver, als ich es aus Büchern kannte. Abends wurde auf dem Backborddeck ein privates Dinner arrangiert – nur wir zwei, Kerzen, kein Service-Stress. Der Küchenchef kochte eine Kokos-Curry-Suppe mit gegrilltem Tintenfisch. Einzig die Moskitos am Abend waren lästig, besonders bei Loh Liang. Aber die Crew gab uns sofort natürliche Repellentien. Die Bewegung der Yacht, das leise Knarren des Holzes – alles trug zur Intimität bei. Kein einziges Mal fühlte es sich wie ein Hotel an. Die Cheng Ho ist ein lebendiges Wesen – mit Charakter, nicht nur Komfort.

Mit meiner Familie und engsten Freunden segelten wir von Kalong Island entlang der Küste von Nusa Kode. Der Anblick der Fledermaus-Kolonie im Abendlicht war surreal – fast spirituell. Die Crew organisierte eine private sunset celebration auf einem abgelegenen Strandabschnitt – mit einem drone shot, der später zum Familien-Relikt wurde. Die Master Suite hatte eine breite Panorama-Liegewiese – ideal, um den Tag Revue passieren zu lassen. Der only minor downside: das Frühstück hätte etwas vielfältiger sein können – aber der frisch gepresste Mangosaft entschädigte. Die Balance aus Aktivität und Ruhe war exakt getroffen. Kein überladenes Programm, sondern Raum für das Wesentliche.
