Stille, Tiefe, Perfektion
Zum zehnten Hochzeitstag suchten wir etwas, das nicht nur beautiful, sondern auch tief berührend ist. The Maj Oceanic hat beides gehalten. Auf Padar Island waren wir allein – kein anderes Boot in Sicht, nur der Aufstieg im Morgennebel, danach ein private lunch am Strand von Pink Beach. Die Aussicht von dort ist surreal: rot-rosa Sand, türkisfarbenes Wasser, wie aus einem anderen Planeten. Unser cabin auf Maindeck hatte eine riesige window bench – ideal, um morgens mit Kaffee einfach nur hinauszusehen. Die dining experience war subtil: kein aufgesetzter Luxus, sondern reduziert, mit Fokus auf Qualität. Besonders genossen haben wir die stillen Abende auf dem upper deck, wenn nur das Geräusch der Wellen zu hören war. Gili Lawa war ein highlight – wir wurden mittags abgesetzt, konnten stundenlang schnorcheln und wurden dann wieder eingesammelt. Einzig der charging point in der cabin war etwas veraltet; wir hatten drei Geräte und mussten abwechseln. Doch das ist Kleinigkeit. Was bleibt, ist das Gefühl von echter Abgeschiedenheit, gepaart mit diskreter Eleganz. Kein Massentourismus, kein Stress. The Maj Oceanic operiert auf einem Niveau, das selten ist.

Perfekte Balance aus Abenteuer und Luxus
Unsere kleine photography expedition mit den Kindern (8 und 11) auf The Maj Oceanic war genau das Richtige – genug space für uns, aber auch Struktur durch den erfahrenen Guide. Besonders Taka Makassar hat uns beeindruckt: kristallklares Wasser, wo man fast wie im Aquarium snorkelt. Die crew hat sogar extra einen early drop-off organisiert, damit wir im golden light bessere drone shots machen konnten. Der master suite auf dem Oberdeck ist ruhig gelegen, mit direktem Zugang zur privaten lounge – perfekt für Eltern, die abends noch etwas Ruhe brauchen. Die kids liebten Sebayur Island, wo wir den ganzen Tag mit dem tender unterwegs waren, Mangroven erkundeten und im Flachwasser schwammen. Das Essen war durchweg excellent, viel frischer Fisch und lokale Aromen, die nicht zu scharf für die Kinder waren. Einzig das wifi war etwas schwach auf dem hinteren Deck – aber das war uns letztlich egal. Hätten gern einen Tag mehr gehabt; vier Tage waren intensiv, aber fast zu kurz für die ganze Region. Der mix aus activity und downtime war dennoch ausgewogen, und die Crew hat sensitiv auf unsere Bedürfnisse reagiert – von baby cots bis hin zu extra Snacks. The Maj Oceanic fühlt sich nicht überladen an, obwohl sie modern und sehr clean designed ist.
