The therapist used locally sourced oils, and the sound baths resonated through the teak hull in a way that felt grounding. Evenings were spent reading in the upper lounge, the ceiling fans turning slowly. Wi-Fi was spotty, but again—perhaps the point. If anything, I’d extend to five days to include a sunrise meditation at Kalong.

L’itinéraire, parfaitement dosé, nous a menés de Komodo Island — où nous avons marché avec les gardes parmi les dragons — à Pink Beach, où le coucher de soleil sur le rose du sable valait bien un long silence. Une nuit, nous avons mouillé près de Long Beach, et le capitaine a organisé un dîner privé sur le pont arrière, aux chandelles, avec un filet de dorade et un vin blanc australien soigneusement sélectionné. Ce genre de geste fait toute la différence. Ma femme, habituée aux grandes adresses, a adoré le jacuzzi sur le roof, même s’il aurait pu chauffer un peu plus tôt dans la soirée. Peut-être aurions-nous dû rester un jour de plus ? Sûrement. Mais cette impression de manque… n’est-elle pas le signe d’un voyage réussi ? Le personnel, discret mais chaleureux, parlait assez d’anglais pour les détails pratiques, sans rompre l’atmosphère francophone que nous avions créée. Un vrai sanctuaire flottant.
