Nusa Kembara는 photography expedition을 위해 딱 맞는 프라이빗한 무대였다. 5박 4일 일정 중 Sebayur Island에서의 일출 촬영은 정말 *perfect*. 선장이 조명 각도까지 고려해 위치를 조정해줘서, *golden hour*에 드론 샷을 찍기 최상의 조건이었고, 그 결과물은 portfolio의 centerpiece가 됐다. 특히 master suite의 wrap-around deck에서 저녁마다 RAW 파일을 정리하며 와인을 마신 시간이 여유로웠다. Taka Makassar에서의 스노클링도 인상적이었지만, 개인적으로는 더 깊은 다이빙 스팟까지 접근했으면 하는 아쉬움이 있었고, wifi signal이 약해 클라우드 백업에 다소 어려움이 있었다. 그러나 crew가 나의 workflow를 빠르게 이해하고, 배터리 충전부터 기기 보관까지 세심하게 챙겨줘서 전문가다운 배려를 느꼈다. 이 배는 단순한 숙박이 아니라, 창작을 위한 mobile studio 같은 존재였다. 다음 프로젝트도 여기서 진행할 계획이다.

There’s a maritime tradition of vessels possessing a kind of soul—Nusa Kembara has it. We anchored at Gili Lawa for two nights, drawn by the promise of manta sightings (which delivered). The upper deck was ideal for stargazing; the absence of light pollution made the Milky Way feel reachable.
