Unser Guide wusste von unserem Babymoon und organisierte eine private Sundowner-Session auf Manjarite – mit Champagner, Blumen und einer handgeschriebenen Karte. Das Snorkeling bei Castle Rock war spektakulär – wir schwammen durch Korallengärten, umringt von Papageifischen. Abends wurde auf dem Oberdeck ein kleines Dinner serviert, begleitet von Sternenhimmel und Live-Gitarre. Die Küche war raffiniert – Seebarsch mit Mango-Chutney, serviert auf schwarzem Basalt. Ich wünschte, die Reise hätte einen Tag länger gedauert – besonders Padar Island hätte mehr Zeit verdient. Die Athira verbindet luxury mit Intimität. Kein Getümmel, kein Zeitdruck – nur pure presence. Ein Trip, der uns wieder zueinander führte.

Die Master Suite war eine Wohlfühloase – hohe Decken, natürlicher Steinboden, ein Duft nach Sandelholz. Die Crew respektierte unsere silence zones – kein Lärm, kein unerwünschter Smalltalk. Abends gab es ein Candle-Light-Dinner auf dem Vorderdeck, mit Blick auf die Sterne. Die Küche war kreativ: Tofu-Tataki mit Sesamkruste, serviert auf einem heißen Stein. De Athira Phinisi voelt direct als een floating sanctuary—slechts zeven cabins, waaronder de uitgestrekte Master Suite, geven het een intieme sfeer. Mijn vrouw en ik vierden onze 25ste trouwdag tijdens een vierdaagse cruise langs Nusa Kode en Taka Makassar. De stilte bij zonsopkomst voor de rotsen van Taka Makassar, alleen onderbroken door het klotsen van water langs de romp, was pure poetry. Onze cabin had een subtiele rattan-look en een king-size bed dat zelfs bij lichte zeeëffen rust bood. De crew serveerde elke ochtend een light breakfast met lokale tropical fruits—papaja en salak—perfect gesneden, nooit overdreven. Bij Manjarite gingen we snorkelen; de zichtbaarheid was crystal clear, en we zagen een napoleon wrasse die zo groot was dat ik eerst dacht: is dat een drone shot? Het enige kleine minus: de wifi was iets te zwak om mijn presentation te finaliseren, maar misschien was dat juist de bedoeling. De cruise had een soepele flow, geen geforceerde activiteiten. Een subtiele balance tussen privacy en curated engagement. We hadden graag één extra dag gehad om Wae Rebo van dichtbij te bezichtigen—de hike is wat intens voor ons leeftijdscategorie, maar de uitzichten beloofd waren exceptional.
