Ich habe viele Phinisis bereist – doch die Athira überzeugt durch subtile Eleganz. Kein protziges Gold, sondern geöltes Teak, weiche Stoffe, durchdachte Ergonomie. Als Solo Traveler schätzte ich die Balance aus Privacy und Geselligkeit. Unser Tag bei Padar Island war herausragend: Wanderung zum Gipfel, dann Picknick mit kaltem Weißwein. Die Crew hatte alles vorbereitet – sogar eine kleine Liegematte für mich. Abends wurde auf dem Hauptdeck ein BBQ organisiert – frischer Thunfisch, gegrillt nach balinesischem Rezept. Die Standard Cabin war kleiner als erwartet, aber makellos sauber und akustisch abgeschirmt. Bei Castle Rock entdeckte ich einen Manta-Rochen – ein seltener Moment, den der Guide mit einem drone shot festhielt. Einzig die Lüftung in meiner Kabine war etwas schwach – aber ansonsten perfekt. Die Athira ist kein Massenboot, sondern ein experience-craft. Die Route war clever geplant – keine überfüllten Buchten, kein Rennen gegen die Zeit. Die Master Suite hatte eine durchdachte Architektur, mit indonesischem Teakholz und einem zeitgemäßen Interieur, das nie überladen wirkte. Morgens öffnete sich die Terrasse direkt zum Ozean – perfekt für den ersten Kaffee mit Blick auf Taka Makassar, wo wir schwimmen gingen und die Sicht unter Wasser kristallklar war. Der Skipper wählte eine ruhige Bucht nahe Kanawa Island für unseren zweiten Tag, ideal zum Schnorcheln mit den Kindern einer befreundeten Familie, die uns begleitete. Die Crew war unaufdringlich präsent – jeder Service kam intuitiv, nie aufdringlich. Das Abendessen an Deck, mit frischem Grillfisch und lokalen Gewürzen, war ein echtes highlight. Einzig der WLAN-Empfang war etwas schwach – aber ehrlich gesagt, hat es niemanden wirklich gestört. Wir wünschten nur, die itinerary hätte einen halben Tag länger in Pink Beach eingeplant. Der Sand dort, mit seiner zarten, rosafarbenen Note, war wie aus einem Traum – und ein drone shot von oben hätte es perfekt festgehalten. Dennoch: Die Balance aus Privatsphäre, exzellenter Küche und sorgfältig gewählten Routen machte diese Reise zu einem tiefen, ruhigen Glück.

Die Crew war respektvoll zurückhaltend, servierte aber jeden Abend ein meisterhaft komponiertes 4-Gänge-Menü. Einzig der WLAN-Empfang war etwas instabil – was ich im Nachhinein als Segen empfinde.
