Il cibo? Fresco, con tocchi di cucina locale ben dosati — il ceviche di pesce pappagallo è stato un highlight. Unico piccolo trade-off: il wifi è funzionale ma non all’altezza del resto dell’esperienza, il che in fondo va bene, ci ha costretti a staccare davvero. Forse l’unica cosa che avrei voluto? Impeccabile: legno di teak, finestre panoramiche e un bagno con rain shower che sembra uscito da un resort cinque stelle. La crew? Attenta senza essere invadente, con un sommelier che conosceva persino i vini naturali italiani – raro, e apprezzatissimo. L’itinerary ci ha portati a Padar Island all’alba, dove il trekking ha regalato un drone shot da copertina: le baie a strati di verde e turchese sembravano dipinte. Poi, tuffo a Pink Beach – sì, il rosa è reale, e i bambini (nostri nipoti, in viaggio con noi) non smettevano di ridere tra coralli e pesci pagliaccio. Castle Rock è stato il climax: snorkeling con tartarughe e banchi di barracuda, tutto in totale sicurezza grazie al team. Als solo reiziger wilde ik geen gewone vakantie, maar een echte innerlijke reset, en die vond ik tussen Nusa Kode en Crystal Rock. De eerste ochtend voor anker bij Nusa Kode, met alleen het geluid van de golven en een kop koffie op het achterdek, zette de toon: pure rust. De crew was discreet maar altijd attent, nooit opdringerig. Mijn cabin had een master suite-gevoel, met fijne lakens en genoeg ruimte om mijn spullen uit te spreiden zonder rommel te voelen. We dook bij Crystal Rock – de visibility was insane, volledig worth the early wake-up. Ik hield van de mix tussen adventure en down time: een drone shot vanaf het voordek van Padar Island gaf me goosebumps, maar ik waardeerde net zozeer de middag met alleen een boek en de zeewind.
