Avevo prenotato il Marvelous Phinisi per una photography expedition con due amici, tutti fotografi professionisti, e devo dire che l’equilibrio tra comfort e autenticità è stato perfetto. Il design interno, con quel tocco di minimalismo scandinavo mixato al legno di teak, crea un’atmosfera calda ma raffinata — la master suite sul ponte superiore aveva un lighting ideale per editare di mattina. Abbiamo trascorso un’intera giornata a Sebayur Island, dove l’acqua trasparente permetteva drone shot incredibili con riflessi dorati sul reef. Il team di bordo ha organizzato un picnic su Bidadari Beach con tempistiche impeccabili, proprio mentre il sole scendeva dietro le colline. I pasti erano curati, con pesce fresco preparato in stile lokal ma con twist moderni — anche i miei standard difficili sono stati soddisfatti. L’unica nota: il wifi a bordo è limitato, ma forse è un bene, alla fine. Il tutto è stato supportato da un itinerario ben studiato, non troppo frettoloso, con tempo sufficiente per immersioni soft e snorkeling tranquillo. I marinai erano discreti, mai invadenti, ma sempre presenti quando serviva. Con i miei tempi serrati tra progetti editoriali, apprezzare questa lentezza è stato un lusso raro. Tornerei per un giorno in più, magari per includere un’alba a Padar Island — ne vale la pena.

30번째 생일을 기념해 팀원들과 Marvelous Phinisi로 corporate retreat 겸 milestone birthday를 보냈어요. 보트가 2019년에 지어져서 그런지, 전반적인 컨디션은 거의 brand-new 수준이었고, 특히 Padar Island로 향하는 일정에서 찍은 drone shot은 SNS에서 화제가 됐을 정도예요. 4개의 캐빈 안에서 semi-private한 공간을 유지할 수 있어서 리더십 워크숍을 하기에 완벽했고, Nusa Kode 근처에서 진행한 스노클링 타임엔 팀워크가 자연스럽게 형성됐죠. 디너는 각자 생일 소원을 말하며 즐기는 private dining으로 구성됐고, 요리사가 준비한 miso-glazed sea bass는 일생에 한 번 맛볼 수 있는 수준이었어요. 다만, 보트가 10인 정원이라 조금 더 큰 그룹은 불가능한 점은 아쉬웠습니다. 다음엔 가족과 와이프랑 다시 오고 싶어요. 특히 Kalong Island의 석양 아래서 와인을 마시며 보낸 저녁은 내 기억 속에 오래 남을 거예요.

Kabin simple tapi dengan details that matter: blackout curtains, quality pillows, even good book selection. Hanya satu note: lebih lama di Rinca Island, karena trekking trail-nya fascinating. But the absence of WiFi? Perfect. We reconnected—with each other, with nature, with silence. This is what slow travel should be.

Baru selesai project besar, dan butuh space untuk recover. Wellness retreat di Marvelous Phinisi jadi solusi yang unexpected tapi tepat. We spent a full morning anchored near Rinca Island, hanya mendengarkan suara hutan dan ombak. Captain allowed us to kayak ke small cove, dan the silence there—meditative. Kabin kami menghadap ke timur, jadi setiap pagi disambut golden light. The crew memahami need for solitude; they’d leave tea and snacks quietly. Makanan mostly local ingredients, very clean taste.
