Pink Beach’e yanaştığımızda ise karada değil, drone shot ile manzarayı içimize sindirdik — gemideki genç mürettebat buna çok hakim. Manta Point’ten geçerken ise suyun dibinde kaybolmak istedik, ama kısa bir snorkel seansından sonra yorgunluk galip geldi. O anda güverteye uzanıp bir smoothie ile gün batımını izlemek daha iyi geldi. Gemi 2019 yapımı, her şey modern ama aşırı teknoloji değil, bu da bize ‘disconnection’ imkanı tanıdı. Il master suite, pur essendo su una nave di 19,9 metri, offre una sensazione di spazio quasi sorprendente, con letti king size e un bagno con water closet separato che fa la differenza. Abbiamo trascorso giornate meravigliose tra Taka Makassar, dove lo snorkeling tra i banchi di fusiliere blu è stato un vero spectacle, e Gili Lawa, dove l’alba vista dal ponte superiore con una tazza di caffè fumante è stata pura poesia. Il capitano ha adattato l’itinerary in base alle correnti, mostrando grande esperienza – un tocco che apprezziamo, essendo già stati in altri luxury charter. La cucina, tutta a base di ingredienti locali, ci ha sorpreso per creatività: il coconut curry di pesce fresco è diventato il nostro comfort food. Unico piccolo trade-off? Il segnale WiFi quasi assente – ma forse è stato un bene, in fondo. Avremmo voluto un giorno in più; quattro notti sono state belle, ma appena sufficienti per immergersi davvero. Il drone shot che ci hanno regalato in chiusura è ora il wallpaper del nostro iPhone. Una vera esperienza di slow luxury.

Come fotografo professionista in cerca di angoli unici, ho scelto questa luxury phinisi per una photography expedition in solitaria – e non avrei potuto fare scelta migliore. La master suite è elegantemente curata, con luci soffuse e un design che fonde artigianato indonesiano e minimalismo contemporaneo. Il silenzio del motore durante le derive notturne tra le isole mi ha regalato un senso di pace difficile da descrivere. Batu Bolong è stato un momento magico: branchi di squali pinna bianca che scivolano sotto il kayak, con il sole che tingeva l’acqua di turchese intenso. E poi Pink Beach – una palette naturale perfetta per un drone shot che ho già definito 'iconico' in redazione. Il crew ha saputo bilanciare discrezione ed efficienza, anche se avrei apprezzato un po’ più di tempo libero a Komodo Island, dove il trekking con la guida ufficiale è stato leggermente frettoloso. L’esperienza a bordo è stata comunque impeccabile: colazioni con frutta tropicale appena tagliata, cena a lume di candela sul ponte, e un sommelier che conosceva persino i vini naturali italiani. Per un viaggio corporate o una fuga con amici HNW, il White Pearl 02 Phinisi è una scelta eccellente. Assolutamente da ripetere.
