För min 40-årsresa ville jag något annat – inget festligt, snarare en reset. Blackbeard Phinisi blev det naturliga valet efter en langsam search. Båten är ny (byggd 2024), men har en själ – inte klinisk. Jag bodde i Master Suite, med öppen balkong mot havet. Vårt wellness retreat inkluderade morgonyoga på akterdäck, meditation i båten vid Manjarite, och ayurvediska behandlingar i skuggan av Wainilu. Det var stillheten som tog över – inte ens drone shot från kaptenen störde. Men jag måste erkänna: jag önskade mer aktivitet i programmet, kanske en guided hike eller kulturstop. Annars var allt i perfect balans – maten vegetarisk men smakrik, med mycket local coconut och turmeric. Crew var tystlåtna på ett vackert sätt, aldrig påträngande. En kväll seglade vi förbi Kalong Island vid solnedgången – ingen prat, bara vind och fladdermöss. Jag åkte hem med färre tankar, mer rum. Det är den bästa formen av lyx.

Les 30 mètres de longueur permettent une réelle séparation des espaces : les adultes pouvaient profiter d’un verre de vin sur le solarium tandis que les ados plongeaient à Manjarite. Wae Rebo, souvent négligé sur d’autres itinéraires, a été une révélation : cette immersion culturelle avec la communauté locale a marqué toute la famille. L’équipage a été particulièrement attentionné avec mes parents âgés – rampes dans les escaliers, repas adaptés, et une patience exemplaire. La Master Suite, bien que réservée à mes beaux-frères, semblait d’un confort exceptionnel, presque hôtel de luxe. Ce qui m’a surprise, c’est la qualité des draps et des produits de bain – très haut de gamme. Peut-être aurions-nous aimé un jour de plus à Castle Rock, mais quatre jours ont été suffisants pour créer des souvenirs durables. Un vrai art de vivre à bord.
