Mutiara Cruise – chuyến đi chụp ảnh hoàn hảo
Tôi đi chuyến 4 ngày trên Mutiara Cruise như một phần của photography expedition, và thật sự nó vượt quá kỳ vọng. Là nhiếp ảnh gia chuyên về thiên nhiên, tôi cần một itinerary linh hoạt – và đội ngũ đã sắp xếp thời gian lý tưởng ở Manta Point và Taka Makassar, hai điểm chụp underwater tuyệt vời. Buổi sáng ở Taka Makassar, khi ánh nắng xuyên xuống rạn san hô với đàn cá đuối lượn vòng, là một master shot không thể mua bằng tiền. Phòng tôi – một master suite hướng biển – yên tĩnh, thiết kế gỗ trầm ấm rất phinisi truyền thống nhưng vẫn có đủ tiện nghi modern như AC mạnh và minibar đầy đủ. Crew phục vụ nhẹ nhàng, không làm phiền, nhưng luôn có mặt khi cần. Tôi đánh giá cao sự tinh tế trong chi tiết – từ bữa sáng kiểu Việt nhẹ với cháo hành đến evening cocktail trên sundeck. Một điểm nhỏ: wifi rất yếu, nhưng thực ra tôi cũng không cần nhiều – ra giữa biển ai mà muốn inbox cơ chứ. Điều tôi tiếc duy nhất là chỉ book 4 ngày, trong khi cảm thấy ít nhất 5-6 ngày mới tận hưởng hết vẻ wild beauty của Komodo. Nếu có dịp quay lại cho một babymoon, chắc chắn tôi sẽ chọn lại Mutiara Cruise – nhưng lần sau, book dài hơn một chút.

The Mutiara Cruise offered a rare balance of refined comfort and untouched wilderness. We anchored near Batu Bolong at dusk, and the silence—broken only by geckos and the occasional splash—was profound. As a photographer, I’d come for the dragons of Komodo Island, but it was the morning light on Padar’s crescent bay that left me speechless. The crew anticipated needs without hovering; breakfast appeared just as the sun cleared the ridge. Our cabin, though compact, felt intentional in its design—teak details, excellent ventilation. Wi-Fi, as expected in such remote waters, was patchy, but honestly, we barely missed it. One wishes for an extra day—four felt like a tantalising glimpse. Still, the pace allowed us to swim with reef sharks near Sebayur without haste, a moment of quiet exhilaration. The galley’s miso-glazed snapper, paired with a crisp Albariño, was a highlight. Mutiara doesn’t shout; it whispers, and that’s precisely why it resonates.

Die Mutiara Cruise war die perfekte Wahl für unseren Friends Getaway – acht aus unserer Clique, alle über 40, auf der Suche nach etwas Ruhe mit Stil. Von Manjarite bis Sebayur Island fühlte sich die gesamte Experience wie ein sanftes Aufatmen an. Die Master Suite im Hauptdeck bietet nicht nur atemberaubenden Sunset-Blick, sondern auch genug Privatsphäre, wenn man mal nicht im Infinity-Pool oder beim Sundowner an Deck sein möchte. Das Design ist kein überladenes Luxus-Statement, sondern reduziert, mit viel Teak und natürlichem Licht – sehr nordisch interpretiert, trotz indonesischer Wurzeln. Der Service war präzise, nie aufdringlich. Lediglich das WiFi ließ uns etwas im Stich – kein Drama, aber für eine, die halb im Remote-Work bleibt, wäre ein stabiler Zugang wünschenswert. Die Crew organisierte spontan eine private BBQ-Session auf Taka Makassar, inklusive frischem Coconut Ice und einem spontanen Drone Shot, den wir jetzt als Digital Art im Flur haben. Was bleibt? Die Gelassenheit, mit der die Zeit hier vergeht. Kein überkandidelter Itinerary, sondern Raum für spontane Snorkel-Trips oder einfach nur Lesen unter dem Bimini Top. Hätten gerne einen Tag mehr gehabt – 5 Nächte wären ideal.

سافرت مع عائلتي المكونة من أربعة أطفال على متن Mutiara Cruise، وكان من المدهش كيف تم تنظيم الرحلة لتتناسب مع جميع الأعمار. الأطفال استمتعوا بالقفز من القارب الصغير في Kanawa Island، بينما نحن الكبار تأملنا الشعاب في Pink Beach. الطاقم وفر أنشطة خاصة للأطفال مثل رسم الخرائط البحرية وجمع الأصداف، ما أعطى الرحلة بُعدًا تعليميًا. الكابينات واسعة، مع حمامات كبيرة — شيء مهم مع الصغار. وجبات الغداء كانت متنوعة: من الـsushi إلى الكبسة السعودية، ما أشعرنا بالراحة. توقفنا أيضًا في Taka Makassar، حيث كانت ألوان الماء فائقة الجمال، وحصلنا على drone shot رائع من الطاقم. لم يكن هناك الكثير من التسلية المسائية، لكن هذا كان جيدًا في الحقيقة — أعطانا مساحة للهدوء. فقط أتمنى لو أن هناك أكثر من جهاز تلفاز صغير في الصالة، لأن الأطفال أرادوا مشاهدة فيلم معًا. بشكل عام، كانت تجربة سلسة ومصممة بعناية.

The Mutiara Cruise moved through the archipelago like a guest, not an intruder. We were there for photography, and the timing was impeccable—dawn on Padar, the dunes painted in gradients of rose and ochre. The crew positioned the yacht for optimal light, then stepped back. Later, a snorkel at Batu Bolong revealed a school of bumphead parrotfish, their turquoise heads glinting. The upper deck became our editing station, with shaded seating and reliable power. The cabin was compact but intelligent—every drawer, every shelf, thought through. Wi-Fi was limited, but we used offline storage. One evening, anchored near Komodo Island, we watched monitors from the beach as rangers released a turtle. The moment wasn’t staged for us, but we were allowed to witness it. That kind of access speaks to the crew’s standing in the park. This wasn’t luxury as indulgence. It was as permission—to see, to feel, to be still.

There’s a difference between a luxury boat and a boat that understands luxury. The Mutiara Cruise falls firmly in the latter. Sailing from Rinca to Batu Bolong, we watched the coastline shift from jagged cliffs to powder coves, the yacht holding steady in the current. I spent hours on the bow with a book, lulled by the hull’s soft slap. One morning, we anchored off Komodo Island and hiked to the observation deck. The dragons were impressive, yes, but it was the silence of the savannah that struck me. Back on board, a cold towel and lemongrass tonic awaited. The cabins, while compact, maximised space beautifully—hidden drawers, clever ventilation. I’d have appreciated a stronger Wi-Fi signal for evening calls, but perhaps that’s the point of such trips. The final dinner—grilled lobster, tamarind glaze, a Barossa shiraz—was served as we passed Sebayur under moonlight. No speeches, no fuss. Just presence.

Een serene escape op de Mutiara Cruise
We verlieten Bali met een zekere mate van scepticisme — wellness retreats kunnen al snel kitscherig worden — maar de Mutiara Cruise overtuigde met subtiele elegantie. Tijdens onze 4-daagse retreat, georganiseerd voor een kleine groep professionals uit Amsterdam, voelde de 47 meter lange phinisi meer als een zwevend wellness sanctuary dan een boot. De master suite aan bakboord had een heerlijk kingsize bed en de open-air bathroom was een genot ’s morgens na yoga op het achterdek. Onze itinerary bracht ons naar Gili Lawa voor een early morning snorkel — het water kristalhelder, vol met turtles en small reef sharks — gevolgd door een slow-paced lunch aan dek met light bites en fresh coconut. Laat in de middag ankerden we bij Long Beach, waar het zand werkelijk fluweelachtig is. We hebben daar een drone shot gemaakt die later als wallpaper diende — simpelweg perfect. De crew was discreet maar altijd attuned, met een persoonlijke touch die je zelden tegenkomt. Enkel de wifi verbinding was inconsistent, maar eerlijk? Dat was wellicht een zegen. Misschien een dag langer — vijf dagen in plaats van vier — zou meer time geven om echt los te laten. De combinatie van ruimte, privacy en natuurlijke schoonheid van Komodo National Park, gepaard met de subtiel luxe uitstraling van de Mutiara Cruise, maakte dit tot een zeldzame vorm van diepe herstel.

A Deeply Considered Escape
For our anniversary, we sought beauty without performance. The Mutiara Cruise provided just that. The passage to Sebayur Island was smooth, the sea flat as hammered silver. We spent the morning snorkelling above coral gardens—angelfish, clownfish, the occasional turtle. In the afternoon, a guided walk on Rinca offered sightings of Komodo dragons, yes, but also the subtler things: monitor tracks in the dust, the call of coucals in the undergrowth. The yacht’s interiors were calm—light wood, neutral tones, no visual clutter. Our steward remembered how we took our tea. Dinner was served al fresco, grilled mahi-mahi with a tamarind glaze. The only minor issue: the cabin’s fan had a slight wobble, noticeable at night. But it was a small thing, quickly reported and noted. What remains is the sense of being cared for without fuss, of moving through a rare landscape with grace and quiet respect.

Birthday Escape dengan Teman-Teman
For my 40th birthday, I booked Mutiara Cruise bareng five closest friends. We wanted something luxurious tapi tetap adventure, and this delivered. Hari pertama langsung snorkeling di Crystal Rock — the coral visibility was insane, ikan-ikan warna-warni berenang begitu dekat. Batu Bolong juga exciting karena current-nya strong, perfect for experienced swimmers. The staff arranged a surprise birthday cake with sparklers on deck, plus our favorite Indonesian songs playlist. Feels seperti private yacht milik sendiri. Kabin kami luas, king bed dengan linen premium, dan AC-nya powerful banget — penting karena siang hari cukup panas. Satu-satunya wish: lebih banyak activity options di Rinca Island, maybe a guided trek with ranger yang lebih personalized. Overall, best gift I’ve given myself.
