Zum 40. wollte ich etwas Besonderes – kein klassisches Städtetrip, sondern echte Natur und Zeit für mich. Die Derya Liveaboard war die perfekte Wahl. Als Solo-Reisende fühlte ich mich nie isoliert, aber auch nicht überstimuliert. Der Tag auf Padar Island war atemberaubend: der Aufstieg zur Aussichtsplattform bei Sonnenaufgang, danach ein privater Snorkel-Einsatz in einer versteckten Bucht bei Sebayur. Die Crew hat intuitiv verstanden, wann ich allein sein wollte und wann ich Gesellschaft schätzte. Die Master Suite mit ihrem indonesischen Teak-Holz und der dicken Matratze sorgte für tiefen Schlaf nach den Aktivitäten. Das Essen war ein Highlight – vor allem der gegrillte Dorado mit Mango-Salsa. Leider war das Wetter an einem Tag zu windig für Kanawa, was etwas enttäuschend war, aber der Captain bot spontan eine alternative Schnorchelstelle an, die fast noch besser war. Der Drone-Shot vom Boot in der Bucht von Bidadari, den mir die Crew schickte, ist jetzt mein Wallpaper. Ein Trip, der sich anfühlt wie ein Reset – ruhig, elegant, ohne Hektik.

Evlilik sonrası ilk tatilimizi Derya Liveaboard ile Komodo’da geçirmek, tam bir lüks tercih oldu. Master Suite’in geniş pencerelerinden sabahları güneşin yükselişini izlemek, eşime ve bana özel bir ritüel hâline geldi. Itinerary çok iyi planlanmış: sabahları Pink Beach’te sadece biz varız gibi yüzme imkânı, öğleden sonra ise Taka Makassar’da şnorkel yaparken renkli balıklarla yüzmek gerçekten surreal. Kaptan ekibi çok understated servis yapmış — asla rahatsız etmediler ama istediğimiz an her şey elimizin altında. Cocoon Beach’e inmedik, ama drone shot ile görüntüledik, manzara neredeyse metafizikti. Tek küçük eksik, wifi biraz spotty’ydi; ama bu da aslında dijital detox olmasından ötürü iyi oldu. Ailemle genelde çok hareketli yere gideriz ama bu sefer sadece ikimiz, sessizlik ve doğal güzelliğin ortasında bir pace ile ilerlemek, tam aradığımız şeydi. Her akşam güverte üstünde sundowner ile gün batımını izlerken, ‘daha ne olabilir ki’ dedik. Derya, sade ama perfect bir equilibrium sunuyor.

Baru saja kembali dari honeymoon 4D/3N dengan Derya Liveaboard dan honestly, everything felt curated. Dari pertama naik, crew sudah welcome dengan air kelapa dan senyum tulus — such a warm energy. Kita menginap di Master Suite, king bednya super nyaman dan jendela porthole-nya pas banget buat sunrise di Loh Liang. Snorkeling di Crystal Rock? Unreal. Water clarity-nya kayak glass, ikan-ikan bergerombol dekat banget, almost like they’re posing. Tapi yang paling memorable sih malam di Taka Makassar — makan malam di dek bawah, candlelit, hanya ditemani suara ombak dan crew yang quietly serving grilled seafood. Sedikit constructive: WiFi agak nanggung, cuma bisa buka email, tapi jujur, we didn’t miss it much. Derya itu bukan sekadar trip, lebih kayak slow living dengan purpose. Would come back for a solo retreat, just me and the komodo di darat.

Die Derya Liveaboard ist kein Luxusliner, sondern ein elegantes, handgefertigtes Schiff – und das merkt man. Als Schweizerin schätze ich Understatement, und hier wird es gelebt. Unser Tag auf Manjarite war besonders: ruhig, kristallklares Wasser, kaum andere Touristen. Die Crew organisierte ein kleines beach picnic mit frischem Papaya und Kokosnuss – einfach, aber perfekt. Abends auf dem Upper Deck, mit einem Gin Tonic und Blick auf die Sterne, fühlte man sich weit weg von allem. Die Standard Cabin war übrigens sehr komfortabel – keine Einschränkungen im Vergleich zur Master Suite. Lediglich die Lüftung war etwas schwach bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit. Aber das ist ein kleiner Preis für die Stille und den Frieden. Der Gesamteindruck bleibt: ein sehr gelungener Mix aus Abenteuer und Raffinesse.

Untuk milestone 60th birthday, saya ingin something meaningful. Derya Liveaboard memberi exactly that. Saya datang dengan small group dari Jakarta, dan sejak boarding di Labuan Bajo, energy-nya langsung berubah — lebih slow, lebih intentional. Kita spend sehari full di Taka Makassar, pasir putihnya seperti powder, dan visibility untuk diving di atas average. Captain pandai banget pilih spot yang tidak terlalu crowded. Malamnya, mereka set up private BBQ di deck dengan live acoustic — very personal touch. Saya sempat complain soal breakfast yang kadang agak late, tapi mereka adjust di hari berikutnya. Itu detail kecil yang bikin saya appreciate their responsiveness. Derya bukan luxury karena interiornya yang mahal (meskipun memang elegan), tapi karena mereka understand the rhythm of meaningful travel.
