The dry season (April–October) is ideal for visiting Sebayur. The seas are calm and visibility peaks. Plan to go snorkeling in late morning when the sun lights up the reef. July and August often have the clearest water. During the rainy season, rough seas can make the trip tricky, so it’s best to avoid December–March if possible.

Sebayur Island is accessible only by boat. It’s usually included on liveaboard diving trips or full-day snorkel charters. The journey from Labuan Bajo takes about 2–3 hours by boat. There is no dock – boats anchor in the bay and guests are transferred by small dinghy to shore. Because it’s remote, tours bring all gear, snacks, and water with them.

Sebayur Kecil is part of Komodo’s protected archipelago. It was long overlooked except by local fishermen until scuba divers highlighted its treasures. The park’s protection means the coral reefs are vibrant. The local name “Sebayur” has multiple spellings, but “Turtle Point” has stuck among divers due to the frequent turtle sightings here.
