We joined Alfatran Phinisi Lombok for a four-day exploration of Komodo’s quieter side—specifically Batu Bolong and the northern reaches of Padar. As photographers, we appreciated the crew’s instinct for light; they timed anchorings so we could shoot sunrise without rushing. One morning, we drifted into a narrow channel near Batu Bolong where the current brought in manta rays—our guide knew the tide patterns perfectly. The yacht, though 27 meters, feels spacious due to its low density of guests—max 28, but we had 16, so space was generous. Cabins are well-insulated, though one had a slight dampness near the porthole after heavy rain. The galley served excellent rendang and fresh mango lassis—simple, but executed with care. What distinguishes Alfatran isn’t flash, but foresight: extra towels on deck before you think to ask, binoculars already on the railing at dawn. It’s the kind of attention that lets you disappear into the landscape.

Family Bonding on a Luxury Phinisi
Our family of five (kids 6, 9, 12) had the time of our lives on Alfatran Phinisi Lombok. The staff prepared fun fact cards about marine life, which kept the kids engaged during sailing. Snorkeling at Batu Bolong was a hit — they saw a manta ray! We also visited Rinca Island, where the ranger explained komodo behavior in kid-friendly terms. The family cabin had bunk beds for the boys, super cute. Meals were buffet-style with local and Western options — even my picky eater tried sea bass! One note: no movie nights onboard, but honestly, stargazing replaced Netflix. Best investment for quality family time in nature.

Маршрут включал Rinca Island и Manta Point — на Ринке видели драконов вблизи, а у Manta Point я делал drone shot, который теперь на всех моих соцсетях. Экипаж — отдельное удовольствие: шеф готовил свежий ceviche каждый день, а бармен знал, как сделать ideal Aperol Spritz, даже на качке. 사진작가 친구들과 함께한 알파트란 피니시 롬복의 4일간은 진정한 포토 익스피디션 그 자체였어요. 카난와 아일랜드와 린카 아일랜드는 조명과 배경이 모두 사진 촬영에 ‘퍼펙트’했죠. 특히 일출 무렵 카난와 언덕에서 찍은 드론 샷은 제 포트폴리오에서 가장 강렬한 이미지 중 하나가 됐어요. 27미터 피니시의 디자인은 클래식함과 모던함이 조화를 이루고, 12개의 캐빈은 충분히 여유로웠어요. 객실 내 미니바 리필이 다소 느린 점은 아쉬웠지만, 승무원이 요청 즉시 대응해줘서 큰 문제는 없었어요. 조식 뷔페는 인도네시아 전통 요리부터 국제 요리까지 다양했고, 신선한 코코넛워터는 매일 아침의 즐거움이었어요. 이 배는 포토그래퍼뿐만 아니라 패밀리 트립에도 매우 적합해요. 아이들도 칼롱 아일랜드의 박쥐 군락을 보며 신기해했죠. 진정한 럭셔리 익스피어리언스였어요.

One evening, we anchored near Bidadari Beach and did a night swim. The bioluminescence was unreal — like swimming in stars. The cabin was simple but elegant, with good storage and blackout curtains. I did wish there was more vegetarian menu variety — one night the only option was grilled tempeh with plain rice. But the staff adjusted quickly when I mentioned it. What surprised me most was the quiet luxury: no loud music, no rush, just smooth transitions between activities. This wasn’t a party boat; it was a thoughtful retreat. اختارنا Alfatran Phinisi Lombok لقضاء شهر العسل، وكان القرار الأفضل على الإطلاق. من اللحظة الأولى، شعرنا بالرفاهية الحقيقية – الغرفة (master suite) واسعة، ديكورها أنيق بخشب الساج الطبيعي، والإطلالة من النافذة الجانبية على بحر كومودو كانت ساحرة كل صباح. الـitinerary كان متقنًا: توقفنا في Pink Beach حيث استمتعنا بالسباحة بين الرمال الوردية الناعمة، ثم رحلنا إلى Padar Island لالتقاط أفضل drone shot من الأعلى. الطاقم كان مهنيًا بمستوى 5 نجوم، ويقظ جدًا دون إخلال بالخصوصية. وجبات الإفطار الطازجة المقدمة على السطح مع مشروب جوز الهند كانت تبدأ يومنا بطريقة perfect. النقطة الوحيدة للتحسين: الإنترنت ضعيف قليلًا، لكن بصراحة، من يحتاج للانترنت وسط هذا الجمال؟ التجربة برمتها كانت نادرة، وستبقى في الذاكرة كأحد أفضل moments في حياتنا.
