Explore the magical islands you will visit aboard Barakati Cruise. Each stop offers a unique adventure from pink beaches to dragon encounters.
KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

İzmir'den Barakati Cruise’a 4 günlük bir family trip düzenledik, 2 küçük çocukla.

For our honeymoon, the Barakati Cruise offered privacy without isolation. The Master Suite’s layout meant we could lounge privately yet join others effortlessly. Mornings began at Sebayur Island, where we kayaked through mangroves, the water so still it mirrored the sky. Snorkeling at Crystal Rock revealed a school of bumphead parrotfish—rare, our guide said. Dinner on deck one night was set under fairy lights, with a violinist playing Vivaldi softly in the background. The only flaw: the air conditioning in our cabin cycled too frequently. But the view—Kalong Island at moonrise—made up for it. This was romance without theatrics, just tide and time.

As a designer, I notice details. Barakati Cruise’s interiors blend Balinese warmth with Scandinavian minimalism—uncluttered, functional, deeply calming. The teak decks were warm underfoot each morning, and the outdoor shower in the Master Suite felt like a ritual. Our itinerary included two passes at Batu Bolong, allowing us to experience the site in shifting light. The dive team is exceptional; they knew the surge patterns like choreography. My only reservation: the tender ride to Komodo Island was bumpy during high tide—perhaps better timed at slack water. Still, the dragon tracking was unforgettable. Back on board, the chef served a tamarind-glazed snapper that tasted of the sea itself. This isn’t just a cruise. It’s a carefully composed sequence of moments.

The Barakati Cruise doesn’t shout luxury—it leans in and whispers it. For our friends’ getaway, the split-level deck became our living room, where sundowners blended into dinner under a Milky Way so vivid it felt staged. We dove at Crystal Rock, where currents carried us past reef sharks and Napoleon wrasses. The yacht’s 2023 build shows: soundproofing between cabins meant late-night talks didn’t disturb others. Kalong Island’s bat exodus at dusk was surreal—thousands spiraling into violet skies. One note: the dive compressor needed recalibration on day three, delaying our second dive. Minor, really. What lingers is the precision of the staff—towels warmed after night swims, gin tonics chilled to exactly 6°C.

Traveling with our two children, aged eight and eleven, we weren’t sure how a liveaboard would suit our pace. The Barakati Cruise surprised us — the Master Suite’s layout offered real privacy, and the staff quietly adapted to our family’s rhythm. We spent a morning at Padar Island, hiking with a guide who brought binoculars for the kids to spot megapodes in the scrub. The descent revealed that iconic triple-bay view, untouched and wind-swept. Later, snorkeling at Batu Bolong, we floated above reef sharks and soft coral without another boat in sight. The galley served miso-glazed eggplant that rivaled New York’s best plant-based menus — a relief for our vegetarian daughter. One evening, the captain anchored near Sebayur, where bioluminescence flickered under the hull. Our only note: the Wi-Fi was spotty past the first day, but honestly, we barely missed it. The crew’s attention to detail — from reef-safe sunscreen to child-sized snorkel kits — made this feel less like a cruise and more like a private expedition. We’d return in a heartbeat, perhaps for a longer stretch.
