Explore the magical islands you will visit aboard Lamain Voyage 2. Each stop offers a unique adventure from pink beaches to dragon encounters.
KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

Travelling solo, I value autonomy. The Lamain Voyage 2 offered that—no forced schedules, no assigned roles. We spent a day at Nusa Kode, where the silence is broken only by wind and the occasional dragon rustle. The guide knew the exact path where females nest. Later, at Castle Rock, we snorkeled the current edge as trevally darted through the blue. The yacht’s design favours airflow and light—no AC needed during the day. One afternoon, I read on the forward net while others explored Pink Beach. The chef served a turmeric-poached egg with seaweed salad that tasted like the ocean had been distilled. My only note: more vegan protein options at dinner—excellent vegetables, but heavier legume presence would help. Otherwise, the balance of freedom and care was perfectly pitched.

I’ve been on larger yachts where opulence feels like obligation. The Lamain Voyage 2 avoids that entirely. Its 41.5 meters are used with restraint—high ceilings, low furniture, ventilation that works without fans. We spent two hours at Long Beach collecting shells, then swam out to where the current swirls between Komodo and Rinca. The crew laid out a linen picnic—smoked eggs, pickled cucumber, sourdough crisps—on driftwood logs. No plastic, no fuss. As a photographer, I valued the absence of visual clutter: no branding, no neon life vests. Just clean lines and natural light. One afternoon, we anchored off Pink Beach and shot the gradient from coral sand to turquoise shelf. The camera rinse station was well-placed, though a shaded drying rack would help delicate sensors. Overall, the tone was calm, not performative. Exactly what I needed after months of urban density.

Chartering the Lamain Voyage 2 for our corporate retreat was less a decision, more a necessity once we’d seen the deck plans. Eight cabins, each with that quiet elegance—teak detailing, linen that doesn’t crease—exactly what our leadership team needed to disconnect meaningfully. We spent a morning at Long Beach, where the sand shifts from blush to gold depending on tide and hour. Ideal for walking meetings. The real standout, though, was Castle Rock at dusk. We anchored early, then free-dived the perimeter as the current pulsed gently. The yacht’s dive platform made entries seamless. My only note: the Wi-Fi held up well for email, but video calls buffered—perhaps by design. The crew anticipated needs without hovering. One evening, they served a cold miso broth with local reef fish that tasted like the sea had clarified itself. We’ll likely extend to five days next time; four felt like we’d only scratched the archipelago’s rhythm.

For our company’s strategy offsite, we needed both privacy and immersion. The Lamain Voyage 2 delivered both. The main saloon converted easily into a meeting space—stable Wi-Fi for presentations, but we kept it analog: notebooks, whiteboards, open air. We spent a morning on Nusa Kode, tracking Komodos with a biologist who’d studied them for 18 years. The island’s isolation makes sightings almost guaranteed. Back on board, the air-con in the cabins was whisper-quiet—critical after midday heat. One evening, we anchored near Castle Rock and watched the current draw in trevally and barracuda. The chef paired a crisp Assyrtiko with grilled squid, which felt absurdly right. My only note: more variety in the afternoon teas—lemongrass and pandan were excellent, but a rooibos option would suit some of us. Otherwise, every transition—from work to swim, briefing to dinner—felt effortless.
