Ten Years, One Perfect Curve of Sand
Took my wife to the Lamain Voyage Phinisi for our tenth anniversary. We began at Nusa Kode, where the crew had arranged a private dinner on the beach—lanterns in the dunes, fire dancers in the distance. The intimacy of six cabins meant we never felt like one of many. The boat’s 2020 build shows: everything functions, nothing squeaks. One afternoon, we anchored near Sebayur and swam across the isthmus at low tide, laughing like kids. The staff remembered her fondness for mangosteens and had them chilled each afternoon. My one small critique? The sound system in the master suite cut out briefly during our playlist—but we ended up talking more, so perhaps it was a blessing. On Padar, we hiked separately, met at the top, and didn’t say a word. Ten years, and still this quiet understanding. Lamain Voyage Phinisi didn’t just host us. It held space for us.

Graceful Escape to Komodo's Hidden Corners
Sailing the Lamain Voyage Phinisi during our babymoon was an exercise in understated elegance. At seven months pregnant, I needed space, quiet, and nourishing rhythm—this boat delivered. We anchored at Sebayur Island in the early haze, where the crew had laid out a private beach picnic with local fruit, smoked tuna, and chilled hibiscus tea. The cabin, finished in teak and soft linen, faced west, so we watched the sun bleed into the Flores Sea each evening. Mornings were spent with quiet swims off Nusa Kode, where the coral shelves are still untouched. The only gripe? Wi-Fi was spotty past day two—but honestly, that felt intentional. This wasn’t a trip for connectivity. It was about re-centering before life changes course. The staff anticipated needs without hovering. One evening, they arranged a short paddle to a bioluminescent cove, just the two of us. I can’t recall feeling so seen on a holiday. Would trade nothing for those still mornings with the wind in the sails and my hand on my belly.

Anniversary Under Southern Stars
Celebrated fifteen years on the Lamain Voyage Phinisi, and it was precisely the antidote to our usual city-centric routines. Anchored off Kanawa Island one night, they arranged a private dinner—just us, a table on the sand, and a violinist from Labuan Bajo who played Vivaldi under the stars. The intimacy of the boat, with only six cabins, meant no crowds, no queues. We spent a morning hiking Padar’s west ridge, came back to chilled melon and cold towels. The master suite’s sliding glass doors opened directly to the sea. My only critique? The shower drain backed once—likely sand—but it was cleared within minutes. What stayed with me was the quiet elegance: the way the crew folded the napkins just so, how the sails caught the wind at dawn without a sound. Not flashy. Deeply considered. That, to me, is true luxury.

Precision and Peace in One Hull
As a naval architect, I notice the details—the weld lines, the weight distribution, the way a vessel answers the rudder. The Lamain Voyage Phinisi, built in 2020, moves with a poise that speaks of serious craftsmanship. Took my wife for a quiet anniversary, no fanfare. We spent a morning on Komodo Island tracking dragons with a ranger, then swam off Sebayur in water so clear it felt like flying. The cabins are well-insulated—no engine noise, even at night. The galley produces food that’s both inventive and grounded in local ingredients. My only note? The Wi-Fi, while functional for messages, won’t support video calls reliably. But that suited us. We read, we talked, we watched the archipelago drift by. On Padar, we found a quiet cove, no one else in sight. Sat in silence for twenty minutes. That’s the gift this boat offers: not just access to beauty, but the space to feel it.

Tidak ada kesan pamer, tapi semua detail—linen, cutlery, even the scent in cabin—feels curated. Kita spend a full day di Long Beach, which is wild and untouched. We brought picnic from the boat, and just laze around, reading and swimming. Afternoon hike to Castle Rock gave us panoramic view of the entire bay—so worth the sweat. Makanan onboard mostly local fusion, tapi dengan presentation yang very Instagrammable, and taste tidak kalah. Crew very attentive; one of them even remembered I drink ginger tea every night. Only thing: signal for phone almost zero, which is fine for digital detox, tapi agak tricky untuk yang masih need to check email. Overall, sangat natural, tidak forced. The kind of trip yang bikin kamu ingin slow down life.

Chef’in house-made mango chili sauce’u hâlâ aklımda. Geceleri güverte üstünde yıldızlara bakmak, hiç aydınlatma olmayınca, tam bir sensory reset. Eğer corporate life sizi yorduysa, Lamain Voyage Phinisi sizi yeniden inşa eder.
