Explore the magical islands you will visit aboard Mosalaki Phinisi. Each stop offers a unique adventure from pink beaches to dragon encounters.
KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

From the first glimpse of Mosalaki Phinisi at dawn—her sails catching the light like gilded wings—I knew this would be special. Our days unfolded with grace: snorkeling the vibrant reefs of Kanawa Island, then retreating to the shaded lounge with fresh coconut and cool towels. The crew anticipated needs without intrusion, a hallmark of true service. As a honeymooner, I cherished the private breakfasts on the bow and the open-air stargazing sessions. The master cabin’s design—soft blues, teak accents, panoramic windows—felt like a poem in wood and light. My only suggestion? A slightly larger sunbathing cushion set. But this was, without question, the most beautiful journey of my life.

Our honeymoon on Mosalaki Phinisi was nothing short of poetic. Anchored beneath the stars near Kalong Island, we listened to the gentle lap of waves and the distant rustle of fruit bats. The next morning, we kayaked to Kanawa Island, where pink sands and shallow reefs made for effortless snorkeling. Back on board, breakfast was served under a canopy of sails—simple, elegant, and deeply romantic. The suite’s four-poster bed and ensuite marble bath felt indulgent without being excessive. The crew’s discretion and warmth made us feel cherished. If I’m to quibble, the sound insulation between cabins could be improved. But this was a journey that touched the soul.

Saying goodbye to the ordinary has never felt so effortless. Our four-day escape aboard Mosalaki Phinisi wasn’t just a trip—it was a masterclass in understated elegance. As someone who’s chartered yachts from Phuket to the Dalmatian coast, I can say with certainty that Mosalaki redefines what a luxury phinisi should be. Built in 2023, every detail feels intentional: polished teak decks that warm under bare feet, an open-air lounge where sunset gin tonics became ritual, and a crew whose discretion matched their precision. We anchored at Taka Makassar one afternoon, and I’ll admit—nothing prepares you for that first step into water so clear it blurs the line between sky and sea. Snorkeling there felt like floating through a living aquarium, and later, the team had laid out a private beach picnic with just the right touch of romance—perfect for our babymoon. Another highlight was Kanawa Island, where we wandered the crescent of white sand long after the day boats left, feeling utterly alone in paradise. The only 'flaw'? The Wi-Fi, gloriously limited—though my partner, Isaac, would argue that’s less a flaw and more a design feature. At 28 meters with just five cabins, privacy never felt so assured. Whether you’re here for a corporate reset or a milestone moment, Mosalaki doesn’t just host you—it remembers you.

Sebagai wildlife photographer, saya butuh access ke spot-spot terpencil with minimal disturbance. Mosalaki Phinisi delivered perfectly. We anchored near Kalong Island saat golden hour, and the flying foxes taking off against the orange sky? Unreal. The crew helped coordinate early morning departures ke Rinca Island untuk komodo shots — mereka sangat cooperative. Kameraku aman di cabin dengan anti-humidity box, a nice touch. Deck space luas banget buat editing sambil menikmati angin laut. One thing: Wi-Fi hanya cukup for email, not for cloud backup — tapi itu wajar di middle of nowhere. Overall, this is a mobile studio on water. Castle Rock juga gave us insane underwater footage. Highly recommended for visual storytellers.

특히 chef가 제공한 light Korean fusion dinner on day two는 unexpected but delightful.

Sedang hamil 4 bulan, cari trip yang slow-paced tapi tetap meaningful. Mosalaki Phinisi jadi pilihan karena crew-nya tahu banget handle special needs. Mereka prepare herbal tea, adjust meal portions, and even move my lounge chair to shade automatically. No light pollution, just silence and the sound of waves. Exactly what we needed before the baby comes.

As a dive group dari Jakarta, kita cari phinisi yang balance antara kenyamanan dan access ke sites yang serius. Mosalaki Phinisi deliver banget. Boat condition pristine, tanks always full, and the compressor never acted up. Yang paling impressed? Their dive master knows the current patterns like his own heartbeat. Di Sebayur Island, dia bawa kita ke spot kecil yang full with pygmy seahorse, something we’ve never seen before. Food onboard juga not just good — breakfast buffet ada local sambal matah dan avocado toast with poached egg, perfect mix. Tapi overall, this is the kind of trip where you forget your phone after day one. The Komodo dragon tracking di Komodo Island jadi bonus, tapi the real star is the underwater world.
