    Destination Highlights

Explore the magical islands you will visit aboard Arumi Phinisi. Each stop offers a unique adventure from pink beaches to dragon encounters.

    EVERY TERRITORY TELLS — A LEGEND ◈EVERY TERRITORY TELLS — A LEGEND ◈EVERY TERRITORY TELLS — A LEGEND ◈EVERY TERRITORY TELLS — A LEGEND ◈EVERY TERRITORY TELLS — A LEGEND ◈EVERY TERRITORY TELLS — A LEGEND ◈
    ◈

    KELOR ISLAND

Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.

    ◈

    MANJERITE

Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.

    ◈

    PADAR ISLAND

Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."

    ◈

    PINK BEACH

One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.

    ◈

    KOMODO ISLAND

Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom

    ◈

    TAKA MAKASSAR

A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.

    ◈

    MANTA POINT

A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.

    ◈

    GILI LAWA

Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.

    ◈

    SLABA ISLAND

Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.

    ◈

    SEBAYUR ISLAND

Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.

    ◈

    KANAWA ISLAND

While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.

    ◈

    SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)

Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.

    ◈

    BIDADARI ISLAND

Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

    Arumi

    Honeymoon in Komodo’s Wilds

Our honeymoon aboard Arumi Phinisi was understated elegance from the first mooring. We skipped the usual tourist rush by starting at Taka Makassar—powdery sand, no footprints but ours. The staff had arranged a private dinner under lanterns on deck, just after a swim among ghostly sea snakes. The Standard Cabin was far from standard: matte brass fixtures, rainfall shower, and blackout screens that made mornings feel luxurious. Diving at Manta Point was surreal—the mantas circled close, curious, while the boat’s naturalist explained their migration patterns over coffee the next morning. One night, the generator hummed a bit louder than ideal, but it’s a small trade-off for cold AC in the tropics. What stood out was the quiet competence of the crew; nothing felt staged. Komodo Island’s dragon trek was perfectly timed—early enough to avoid heat, with chilled towels waiting on return. This wasn’t a vacation, but a slow immersion.

Wish we had an extra hour there buat capture more action underwater. Breakfast buffet selalu fresh, especially the banana pancake with local honey.

Serene Escape on the Arumi Phinisi

Traveling with my husband during our babymoon, the Arumi Phinisi offered the perfect balance of privacy and gentle adventure. The Master Suite’s king bed faced sliding glass doors that opened to our private deck—waking up to the calm waters near Pink Beach was something out of a dream. We spent the morning there, walking along the blush-colored sand, then snorkelled just off the shore where the reef slopes gently. The crew anticipated needs without hovering; a chilled towel appeared exactly when needed. One evening, anchored near Kanawa Island, we dined under the stars with just the two of us and the sound of lapping waves. The only minor note: the Wi-Fi was barely functional, but honestly, that became part of the charm. We needed the digital detox. The yacht’s 2015 build still feels crisp—no creaks, clean teak, well-maintained diving gear. A serene, dignified vessel.

    Komodo, Unfiltered and Unhurried

I’ve done luxury charters that feel like floating hotels. Arumi Phinisi is different—refined but rooted. On Padar Island, we were the only ones on the ridge at sunrise. The crew timed the hike perfectly, arriving as the mist lifted. Back onboard, chilled towels and local coffee felt earned, not indulgent. The yacht’s 26 meters move with purpose—no wasted space. My cabin, though not the suite, had beautiful craftsmanship: hand-carved panels, a reading light that didn’t spill. For a group of six friends, the balance between shared spaces and privacy was ideal. One night, the generator hummed longer than expected during dinner—likely recharging batteries—but it was explained promptly. These aren’t flaws; they’re reminders you’re in a wild place, sustained by care. We left feeling reset, not just relaxed.
