Explore the magical islands you will visit aboard Andalusia Phinisi. Each stop offers a unique adventure from pink beaches to dragon encounters.
KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

Traveling with two teenagers and my husband, I worried the Andalusia Phinisi might feel too formal. Instead, it struck the perfect balance—luxury without stiffness. The crew had a gift for engaging the kids: one evening, they organized a night snorkel with underwater torches near Batu Bolong, where the kids spotted pygmy seahorses. The boat’s layout allowed us space—our family cabin connected two rooms, and the upper deck became their hangout zone with board games and cold drinks. We visited Komodo Island with a certified ranger, where the kids were riveted by the dragons’ slow, ancient movements. At Manta Point, we swam together, a moment I’ll never forget—the mantas gliding beneath us like silent chariots. The galley adapted beautifully to my daughter’s gluten intolerance, preparing separate dishes without fuss. I wished we’d had one more day—time slips away here, effortlessly. The staff remembered my son’s love of fried bananas and left a plate outside our door each afternoon. That kind of attention changes everything.

Coffee setup di pagi hari selalu on point, espresso machine-nya beneran professional grade. Hanya sedikit delay waktu transit dari Sebayur Island ke Wae Rebo karena cuaca, tapi Captain handle dengan tenang. Makan siang selalu buffet-style dengan pilihan seafood segar, kadang grilled mahi-mahi yang flavour-nya out of this world.

We’re a group of five, mostly entrepreneurs dari Jakarta, dan kita cari experience yang luxurious tapi still adventurous. Andalusia Phinisi? Nailed it. Boatnya baru (built 2020), jadi everything feels crisp — dari linen sampai sound system di lounge. We did a full loop: Komodo Island, Nusa Kode, then end at Bidadari Beach. Nusa Kode is underrated — snorkeling spot dengan soft coral dan reef sharks, sangat vibrant. Crew provided GoPro footage dari underwater, which was a nice touch. Sore hari, kita nongkrong di upper deck, minum wine, ngobrol panjang — vibe-nya seperti private yacht milik teman kaya. Makanan sangat well-executed; their grilled octopus dengan chimichurri? Outstanding. One minor critique: the tender boat agak slow when picking us up from beach, tapi safety first, jadi ngerti. What stood out is the crew’s professionalism — captain selalu update kita soal cuaca dan itinerary changes. No drama, just smooth sailing. Ideal untuk group yang appreciate quality over quantity.

My husband surprised me with a post-wedding escape aboard the Andalusia Phinisi—seven days through Komodo’s hidden corners. We began at Padar Island, hiking at first light when the valleys were still blue. Returning to the yacht, we were greeted with warm towels and a breakfast of dragon fruit, coconut pancakes, and strong Sumatran coffee. The Master Suite’s indoor-outdoor shower became my ritual space. One night, anchored near Batu Bolong, we dined on deck as bioluminescence flickered in the wake. The service was anticipatory without being intrusive—a cocktail appearing just as the sun dipped, without asking. The only hiccup: the Wi-Fi failed midweek, but we barely noticed. What stays with me is the silence between engine cuts—the sound of water, wind, and each other. This boat doesn’t distract; it focuses. We’ll mark future anniversaries here, no question.

As a marine biologist, I’m attuned to operational details, and the Andalusia Phinisi impressed with its discipline and grace. Leading a small academic group, we needed reliability for our reef surveys. The boat’s tender was always launch-ready, and the crew respected our sampling zones. At Manjarite, we documented coral recruitment on the southern slope—data we couldn’t have gathered without precise anchoring. The yacht’s 2020 build shows: ventilation, noise insulation, and galley efficiency are modern without sacrificing tradition. My cabin, though compact, had excellent storage and reading lights. One evening, the satellite connection failed during a briefing—minor, but notable for work-focused trips. Still, the overall execution was exemplary. Evenings were filled with quiet discussion over spiced tea. This is how science and serenity coexist.

I joined a small group of friends for a post-wedding escape, and the Andalusia Phinisi became our floating sanctuary. The Master Suite’s brass fittings and deep bath were decadent after long days in the sun. Snorkeling at Batu Bolong revealed a manta ray gliding just below us—its wingspan breathtaking. The crew timed our arrival perfectly with the current. Evenings were spent on deck, wrapped in linen throws as the sky deepened. The chef accommodated my shellfish allergy without fuss, crafting delicate seafood alternatives. One afternoon, the Wi-Fi dropped during a video call home—minor, but noted. Still, the real luxury was disconnection. The yacht’s rhythm—wakes at dawn, sails at dusk—felt ancient and right. This wasn’t an escape from life, but a return to its essence.
