Explore the magical islands you will visit aboard Madyan Cruise. Each stop offers a unique adventure from pink beaches to dragon encounters.
KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

At 24 weeks, comfort and calm were non-negotiable, and Madyan Cruise delivered both with quiet precision. We sailed from Labuan Bajo with gentle pacing—no rushed transfers, no clatter. The master cabin’s lowered bed and wide windows made mornings peaceful, and the crew adjusted meal times without hesitation when naps ran long. Padar Island was the highlight: we hiked the ridge at golden hour, returned to chilled coconut water and a linen-draped daybed on the aft deck. The views—three crescent bays fanning out below—were worth every careful step. Snorkelling at Crystal Rock was possible too, with the guide keeping close. What stood out was the absence of pretense. No over-the-top luxury branding, just well-considered details: mosquito netting that actually worked, soft cotton robes, warm towels after swimming. I’d have liked a stronger Wi-Fi signal for calls home, but otherwise, it was exactly the serene transition we needed.

That kind of attention, you don’t get everywhere. We did two dives at Manta Point — mantanya not just passing by, tapi literally dancing under the boat. One of the junior staff even filmed us with a GoPro dan later shared link-nya, super thoughtful. Kabin kami lumayan spacious for two, tapi I wish the AC was a bit stronger saat siang. Not a dealbreaker, tapi in that heat, every degree counts. Food? All homemade, with local spices yang bikin setiap meal feel curated. Ada satu malam kami makan grilled tuna di deck, sambil dengar live guitar dari crew — that moment was… cinematic. The balance between structured agenda dan free time was well-managed, tidak terlalu packed, not too slow. Kalau mau escape from mental clutter, this is the reset button. Next time, maybe bawa keluarga — but add one more day, karena 4 days rasanya baru nyaman pas hari terakhir.

The crew has a kid-friendly approach—teaching them to tie knots, giving mini snorkeling lessons. Di Nusa Kode, anak-anak spotting baby sharks, which they won’t stop talking about. We had connecting cabins, which helped dengan routine malam. Di hari ketiga, we anchored near Rinca Island, and the ranger-led trek was educational tanpa terlalu exhausting. Madyan Cruise’s safety record juga bikin kami tenang. One note: lebih seru kalau ada floating toys untuk kids, tapi they managed with what’s available. Overall, the balance between adventure and downtime was well-calibrated. The sunset at Castle Rock? Absolutely golden. This trip proved family travel can be enriching, not draining.
