KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

Planning a family trip with kids bisa overwhelming, tapi Nadia Phinisi made it seamless. From the moment we boarded, the crew welcomed us like family. We visited Kanawa Island dan Rinca Island — both sangat educational for our kids (8 and 11). Kanawa Island? Perfect untuk swimming dan playing in the sand. The boat has a shallow deck area where kids bisa lompat ke laut dengan aman. Food options for kids were great — grilled fish, nasi tim, dan fresh fruit every day. Kabinnya nyaman, tapi agak panas kalau AC mati. Overall, this trip strengthened our family bond. We laughed, explored, and disconnected from gadgets. That’s priceless.

Documenting Komodo’s ecosystems required a nimble, attentive base—and Nadia Phinisi was perfect. We timed our arrival at Kalong Island for the flying foxes’ departure, capturing the canopy erupting in motion. The crew assisted with drone permits and launch timing, ensuring no interference. The yacht’s neutral palette made it a discreet presence in wide shots. The upper deck doubled as a dry lab for editing. One note: the editing station could benefit from a second monitor. But the access to secluded coves like Long Beach, untouched by other boats, was invaluable. At sunset, the silhouette of the Phinisi against the horizon became a recurring motif in my portfolio. Nadia Phinisi isn’t just transport; it’s a collaborator in storytelling.

The vibe onboard sangat calm dan mindful — no loud music, just ombak dan angin. We anchored at Kalong Island saat sunset, dan melihat ribuan kalong terbang dari hutan, sangat spiritual. Yoga session pagi di dek belakang, dipandu instructor profesional, bikin tubuh dan pikiran ringan. Makanan plant-based yang disediakan sangat fresh dan creatively plated — think jackfruit rendang and turmeric coconut smoothie. Kabin kami menghadap laut, jadi bangun tidur langsung lihat horizon. Tapi overall, this is the reset button I didn’t know I needed. The crew treated us like royalty, tapi tetap humble. 10/10 for wellness seekers.

We chose the Nadia Phinisi for our babymoon, needing stillness without isolation. The boat offered both. Anchored between Rinca Island and Batu Bolong, each morning began with quiet coffee on the upper deck, the only sound the lap of waves and distant bird calls. The crew maintained a hushed rhythm, respectful of our pace. Snorkeling at Manta Point was effortless—the boat positioned us gently in the current, and within minutes, two mantas circled below. I floated above them, hand on my belly, feeling a rare sense of suspension. The cabin was serene: king bed, sheer cotton drapes, a small writing desk where I journaled each evening. Meals were light, fresh, with plenty of coconut water and lime. My only thought: a longer itinerary would’ve deepened the retreat. But in five days, the Nadia Phinisi gave us what we needed—time slowed, bodies cradled, minds quiet.

Taking our two children, ages eight and eleven, through Komodo on the Nadia Phinisi was one of our more intuitive decisions. The layout—six cabins, open decks, shaded lounging—suited family flow. We spent a full afternoon at Long Beach, where the kids built sand forts and waded in the turquoise shallows while we read under the awning. The crew anticipated needs: snorkel gear in their sizes, fruit platters mid-morning, even a small waterproof speaker for beachside tunes. A morning hike on Komodo Island was perfectly paced—short enough for attention spans, rich enough in sightings (we saw a dragon just meters off the trail). The boat felt safe, never crowded, and the staff spoke to the children with genuine warmth. My sole note: an extra day would’ve eased the return transition. Still, the balance of adventure and ease was masterfully handled. This wasn’t luxury as excess, but as thoughtful space.

Awalnya khawatir apakah 6 cabins cukup untuk dynamic teman-teman yang semua punya travel style beda, tapi layout-nya smart banget — private enough, tapi communal deck-nya ideal for hanging out. We spent a full afternoon at Sebayur Island, snorkeling dengan manta rays yang gentle banget, almost surreal. Kalong Island at dusk? Magical. The sky turned deep indigo while thousands of bats flew out — such a powerful natural spectacle. Crew selalu on point, tapi never intrusive. Breakfast selalu available around 8, dan coffee-nya consistently good. One small note: lebih appreciate kalau ada opsi untuk late check-out, karena kita semua masih reluctant to leave. Tapi overall, the balance between adventure and relaxation was on point. Our group dari Solok dan Bandung, all high-achievers, and everyone said this was the most recharging long weekend in years.
