Escaping the Hustle, Komodo-Style
Between surf competitions and brand calls, I needed to unplug—Sukha Sail became my floating sanctuary. As a solo traveler, I appreciated how the crew struck a balance: attentive without intrusion. The first morning, we anchored near Gili Lawa Darat. I swam out at sunrise, the water like liquid glass, and watched reef sharks glide over coral bommies. The yacht’s design is minimalist—light oak, neutral linens, no gaudy finishes. On day three, we stopped at Kanawa Island. I skipped the beach crowd and read Neruda in the shade while others snorkeled. The galley served a cold lemongrass noodle bowl that cut through the humidity perfectly. My only critique? The solar-powered outlets in the cabin were slow to charge larger devices. But that forced a digital detox I didn’t know I needed. One night, they set up a cinema on the deck—‘The Salt of the Earth’ under the stars, with salt on my skin. Sukha Sail doesn’t perform luxury. It lives it quietly, like breath.
The boat itself? Tapi overall, they talked about this trip nonstop since we got back.

Graceful Pacing in the Archipelago
I’ve done my share of tropical getaways, but Sukha Sail redefined pace. Arriving from Singapore’s density, the silence between Komodo Island and Manjarite was a balm. The crew greeted with chilled towels infused with pandan—small touches that signal care. I joined a small wellness group; mornings began with yoga on the bow, the mat still cool from night air. One highlight was floating above Crystal Rock’s coral gardens, then later hiking Komodo Island’s trail with a guide who pointed out nesting ospreys. The cabins are elegant but not fussy—climate-controlled, yes, but with operable portholes for sea breeze. I did find the Wi-Fi insufficient for video calls, though that may be by design. The chef sourced local dragon fruit and mangosteen for breakfast, served with house-made coconut yogurt. Sukha Sail moves like a sigh—unhurried, deep, and full of breath. I’d return just for the sound of the anchor chain releasing at dawn.

A Babymoon That Felt Like a Secret
At 18 weeks, I wanted movement without strain—Sukha Sail delivered effortlessly. The crew learned my preference for ginger tea by the second morning. We spent a misty dawn off Manjarite, where I waded into the shallows, warm sand between my toes, while my partner kayaked toward the mangroves. The cabin had a queen bed with memory foam overlay—luxury that matters when you’re adjusting to pregnancy fatigue. One afternoon, we anchored near Padar Island and took the tender ashore, walking a gentle ridge trail with views over the tri-bay curve. No crowds, just geckos and wind. The chef accommodated my aversion to garlic without fuss, crafting a coconut-turmeric broth that soothed. I did wish for one additional night—the rhythm of the sea had just synced with my own when it was time to disembark. Still, the staff gifted us a hand-bound journal with daily route sketches. Sukha Sail isn’t about spectacle. It’s about presence. And that, for us, was everything.
Sukha Sail

We spent a full day at Batu Bolong, snorkeling dan floating sambil minum cold beer. Malamnya, BBQ di Long Beach — crew masak fresh lobster dan prawns, sambil kita denger live guitar. The energy was relaxed tapi fun. Kabin gue, no.2, di belakang, agak bising kalau mesin jalan, tapi manageable. Next time, mungkin minta mid-ship cabin. Tapi overall, the service was impeccable — they even inget coffee preference kita tiap pagi. Gue pulang with full heart and zero stress.
