Andre Christian Hadiputra co-founded KomodoExplorer in 2012 with a focus on the maritime side of the operation — vessel inspection, route safety, captain qualifications, and itinerary design. Before launching the platform he worked alongside KNKT (Indonesia's Transportation Safety Committee) on small-vessel inspection protocols. His articles cover the practical side of sailing Komodo: dive site selection, weather windows, what equipment a properly-fitted phinisi carries, and how to plan multi-day routes around tide and visibility.
