Explore the magical islands you will visit aboard Ocean Quin Speed Boat. Each stop offers a unique adventure from pink beaches to dragon encounters.
KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

Honestly, I was skeptical traveling solo on a small phinisi, tapi Ocean Quin Speed Boat bikin pengalaman saya di Komodo jadi something else. Pagi di Gili Lawa, sunrise-nya cinematic banget — air biru toska, langit pink-orange, dan sepi total. The crew treated me like family, meskipun saya cuma satu traveler. We stopped at Manta Point buat snorkeling, dan wow — manta rays gliding right above me, rasanya kayak di planet lain. Kabinnya cozy for one, AC-nya stabil, dan kamar mandi bersih. Highly recommend for solo adventurers yang pengin blend of privacy dan human connection.

Choosing the Ocean Quin Speed Boat for our babymoon was one of the most intuitive decisions we’ve made. At Kanawa Island, we swam in solitude, the coral gardens teeming with parrotfish and clownfish just beneath the surface. The quiet elegance of this 15-meter phinisi—built in 2020 with a discerning eye for detail—made the journey feel deeply personal. The single cabin, while intimate, offered panoramic views and a sense of being adrift in a private world. The crew respected our need for stillness, serving breakfast on deck as we watched the sunrise over Padar’s jagged silhouette. A minor note: additional sound insulation between deck and cabin would enhance nighttime tranquility. But that aside, every moment felt like a quiet celebration of what’s to come.

Malam di Long Beach, aku duduk sendiri sambil dengar ombak—rasanya seperti batinku ikut tenang. Kapal ini built in 2020, tapi terawat banget. Interiornya simpel tapi cozy. WiFi memang limited, tapi aku malah merasa itu gift. Sometimes, the best connection is with yourself.

We — 4 girls — turned 35 with a Komodo adventure on Ocean Quin Speed Boat, and it was lit! Our first stop: Gili Lawa, where we swam in turquoise water sambil minum fresh coconut. Crew even prepare birthday cake with sparkler — so sweet! At Manta Point, I cried a little — mantas gliding like angels. The boat’s vibe? Chic but relaxed. We danced barefoot on deck to Spotify playlist, laughing till midnight. Kabinnya cozy, meski 1 cabin only — good for couples or solo, but we rotated who stayed inside. Breakfast roti panggang + avocado toast was on point. Only miss: no jacuzzi, tapi who needs it when ocean is your spa? This trip was pure joy.

Sailing the Komodo archipelago aboard the Ocean Quin Speed Boat was nothing short of poetic. We anchored at Pink Beach, where the blush-hued sands met turquoise waves in a harmony only nature could compose. As an anniversary trip, this was perfection—intimate, wild, and deeply romantic. The single cabin, though compact, was impeccably styled with teak finishes and crisp linen, offering a snug sanctuary after days spent snorkeling at Batu Bolong. The crew anticipated every need, from chilled towels to perfectly timed sundowners. If I were to quibble, more underwater camera support would’ve elevated our photography expedition—but that’s a minor note in an otherwise flawless symphony. Waking to the silence of Taka Makassar at dawn, with only the lap of waves against the hull, remains etched in memory. This wasn’t a holiday; it was a recalibration of the soul.

I booked this last minute for some me-time, and Ocean Quin Speed Boat became my floating sanctuary. Di Kalong Island, waktu kelelawar keluar dari hutan bakau, I felt so small in the best way — nature’s symphony. Crew was quiet but attentive, never intrusive. They serve teh jahe hangat every evening, and we’d just sit, watch sky turn gold, and talk about life. Simple, but deep. Snorkeling di Taka Makassar? Unexpectedly vibrant. The boat’s design — classic wood, clean lines — feels authentic, not too glam, which I appreciate. Kabin kecil, but for solo, perfect. Only thing: charging ports agak kurang, tapi who am I kidding, I was off-grid for a reason. This trip healed me more than I expected.
