At Rinca, we explored a wall dive few boats attempt—the current was strong, but the safety diver stayed close. The boat’s compressor never faltered, even with double dives. Cabins were compact but luxurious—real cotton sheets, excellent showers. One evening, the generator failed briefly during dinner—resolved in under ten minutes with no drama. The crew’s calm under minor stress was telling. Off Bidadari Beach, they arranged a beach barbecue with grilled squid and cold local beer. The chef accommodated a shellfish allergy without fuss. This isn’t a floating hotel. It’s a well-oiled machine for experiencing Komodo’s underwater world.

Nosso honeymoon no Blackbeard Phinisi foi uma fusão perfeita entre romance e exploração. A master suite tem uma janela panorâmica que permite ver as estrelas da cama — um detalhe que adoramos. Navegamos de Komodo Island até Kalong Island, onde fizemos uma caminhada noturna para ver os morcegos-saírem ao crepúsculo. O jantar no deck com luzes de velas e um som suave de violão foi puro cinema. O sommelier escolheu um vinho branco indonésio que harmonizou perfeitamente com o ceviche de atum. Turned 50 aboard the Blackbeard Phinisi, and let’s say Komodo made it memorable. The milestone birthday was marked with a private beach barbecue on Manjarite—just our group of eight, torches in the sand, grilled lobster and aged rum. The boat itself is a triumph of craftsmanship: launched in 2024 but feels timeless, with hand-carved rails and understated interiors. We dove at Crystal Rock early, then drifted past Castle Rock’s pinnacles with schools of trevally circling below. The Standard Cabin was quiet and efficiently laid out, though the shower drain was a bit slow. Crew remembered names, preferences, even our wine temp. One night, they projected old nautical charts on the saloon wall—unexpectedly poetic. If I could alter anything? Extend the itinerary by 24 hours. We barely scratched the surface of what’s possible.

40. Doğum Günü İçin Mükemmel
40. birthday’imi Blackbeard Phinisi’yle kutlamak, hayatımda yaptığım en iyi kararlardan biriydi. 14 arkadaşla Komodo Island ve Rinca Island arasında bir gezi planladık. Loh Liang’a vardığımız gün, ranger eşliğinde yürüyüş yaptık – komodolar gerçekten büyüleyiciydi. Tekne ekibi, doğum günü pastamı buzda servis etti; herkesin yüzünde çocuk gibi bir tebessüm vardı. Babymoon Amidst Wild Beauty
Nine weeks before our daughter arrived, we boarded the Blackbeard Phinisi for a babymoon that balanced serenity and wonder. The Master Suite’s layout allowed for morning yoga and afternoon naps with sea breezes filtering through. We spent gentle days drifting between Kanawa Island and Wainilu—snorkeling at a pace that suited my energy, with crew always nearby but never intrusive. At Crystal Rock, I floated above a reef manta, its shadow gliding over coral like a silent blessing. The galley served light, nourishing meals—coconut poached fish, papaya salad with lime. They even arranged a private beach moment at Manjarite, just us, the tide, and a single drone-free sunset. The only note: more non-alcoholic mocktail options would enhance the experience. But truly, this was a rare convergence of peace, beauty, and care.

Buruan Cahaya di Laut Flores
Sebagai fotografer dokumenter, saya butuh lokasi dengan karakter visual kuat. Blackbeard Phinisi jadi base ideal untuk photography expedition ke Komodo.
