Explore the magical islands you will visit aboard Komodo Surga Bahari Speed Boat. Each stop offers a unique adventure from pink beaches to dragon encounters.
KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

Komodo Surga Bahari Speed Boat offered such a peaceful vibe, perfect buat quality time berdua. We spent most time at Kalong Island dan Padar Island, both very serene. Kalong Island at dusk? Magical. Gue dan suami snorkel pelan-pelan, crew jaga dari jarak dekat, very thoughtful. Kabinnya cozy, kasurnya empuk, dan pelayanan slow-paced — ideal buat ibu hamil. Makanan disesuaikan, mostly steam dan light dishes, which I appreciated. Boat kecil jadi lebih intimate, tapi agak goyang pas ombak besar. Tapi overall, experience-nya healing banget.

Honeymoon with my wife, kita skip yang mewah-mewah, fokus ke experience. Tapi highlight-nya Long Beach — pasir putih, ombak kecil, kita duduk berdua sambil minum coconut ice. The silence di sana healing banget. Crew-nya respectful banget, never intrusive. Makanan mostly lokal dengan twist Mediterranean — grilled squid with lemon herb, so good. Tapi overall, the simplicity of this boat justru bikin kita lebih connect, sama alam, sama pasangan.

Pink Beach’teki snorkeling, renklerin cennetine inmek gibiydi. Mercanlarda sallanan balık sürüleri, suyun berraklığı… Kalong Island ise tam bir cinematic moment’i yaşattı. Güneş batarken yarasa sürüsünün gökyüzüne yükselişi, drone shot ile kayıt altına alındı – şu an hâlâ Instagram highlight’ımın başındadır. Crew her anımızı seamless hale getirdi; özel diyet isteğimizi bile karşıladılar.

Traveling with two young kids, I worried a phinisi might lack the space or safety we needed. The Komodo Surga Bahari Speed Boat surprised us—its 2-cabin layout worked perfectly, with the crew adapting seamlessly to our family’s pace. The shallow reefs at Bidadari Beach were ideal for our children’s first snorkeling attempts, where clownfish darted through anemones like underwater confetti. At Castle Rock, even our 7-year-old spotted a white-tip reef shark, which felt like a rite of passage. The galley served kid-friendly nasi goreng with a smile, though high chairs weren’t available—a small gap for families. Still, the warmth of the staff, combined with the yacht’s steady ride, made this more than a trip; it was a shared story in the making. This boat doesn’t shout luxury, but it delivers sincerity in spades.

I turned thirty on the upper deck of the Komodo Surga Bahari Speed Boat, anchored off Manjarite, a jungle-draped cove where the only sound was geckos on teak and waves ticking the hull. Not the loudest celebration, but perhaps the most grounded. The boat, though classed as standard for a phinisi, feels intentional—every rope, every hatch, functional and clean. With space for twelve, our group of six had room to breathe, each morning choosing solitude or company. Snorkeling at Komodo Island’s Karang Makassar revealed current-swept walls draped in soft coral, while a hike above Loh Liang offered panoramic views of savannah and sea. The galley served tamarind-glazed reef fish that rivaled any coastal bistro. My only regret? Wishing we’d chartered an extra day. At eleven meters, the boat moves swiftly, but time here slows beautifully. For a milestone, that slowness was the real luxury.
