The Standard Cabin was compact but acoustically insulated, crucial after long dives. The chef accommodated my shellfish allergy without fuss, serving miso-glazed eggplant that rivaled any fine dining. Only note: the dive ladder needed a handrail update—fine for agile swimmers, less so for older guests. At Wainilu, we conducted a brief coral health survey, and the crew assisted with gear and data logging. Derya doesn’t just visit Komodo; it respects it. That ethos permeates every decision, from waste management to guest education. A rare vessel that aligns purpose with pleasure.

Snorkeling at Pink Beach, we floated above parrotfish clouds, the sand shimmering beneath us like crushed gemstone. At Rinca Island, our guide led us to a nesting site where Komodo dragons sunned themselves—unhurried, ancient. The Standard Cabin was comfortable, though the shower drain slowed by day three. Still, the linen quality and nightly turndown (with a local herbal sachet) elevated the stay. Evenings were spent on deck, sipping infused lemon water as the sky burned orange. We missed Wi-Fi for photos, but the analog rhythm grew on us. One suggestion: add a second dive guide for larger groups. Honeymoon di Derya: Sempurna
Saya dan suami merayakan honeymoon dengan Derya Liveaboard selama 4 hari, dan honestly worth every rupiah. Awalnya agak ragu karena kapalnya 22 meter, tapi begitu naik langsung impressed—interiornya elegant banget, minimalis tapi warm. Kita singgah di Manta Point dan Taka Makassar; di Manta, saya sempat menangis pelan karena ada manta yang 'say hello' tepat di atas kepala. Crew-nya sangat attentive tanpa overbearing. Satu-satunya wish: lebih banyak waktu di Nusa Kode. The snorkeling there is unreal, visibility lebih dari 20 meter. Makanan juga consistently delicious—setiap pagi ada fresh coconut water dari pulau kecil yang mereka ambil spesial. Derya tidak terasa seperti liveaboard biasa; lebih seperti private yacht experience. Kabin Master Suite sangat luas, king bed-nya bikin malas bangun. Tapi honestly, even the Standard Cabin we saw during tour looked very comfortable. Perfect untuk pasangan yang cari intimacy tanpa noise.

Our leadership team dari Jakarta butuh escape yang productive tapi tetap luxurious, dan Derya Liveaboard delivered. Kapalnya built in 2018 tapi kondisinya minta ampun—everything still feels baru. Kita berangkat dari Labuan Bajo, itinerary: Komodo Island dan Castle Rock. Di Castle Rock, current-nya strong, tapi guide mereka sangat aware, always checking on us. Yang saya appreciate: mereka nggak pakai loudspeaker atau teriak-teriak kayak trip lain. Semua communication calm and clear. Meeting sessions pagi hari di deck atas sangat inspiring—breeze, ocean view, no distractions. Makanan mostly local dengan twist modern, like grilled tuna dengan mango salsa. Hanya sedikit kritik: wifi di tengah laut memang limited, tapi justru itu yang kita butuhkan—digital detox. Will definitely book again for next year’s retreat, maybe extend to 5 days.

Saya dan suami dikelilingi belasan manta, rasanya seperti floating in another galaxy. Crew-nya sangat intuitive, selalu anticipate needs tanpa perlu diminta. Makanannya juga elevated — ada nasi campur dengan wagyu, who would’ve thought? Satu-satunya minor thing: wifi agak lemah di hari terakhir, tapi honestly, we didn’t even care by then. We were too busy watching the stars from deck with a glass of prosecco. Derya bukan sekadar trip, tapi curated journey.
