Explore the magical islands you will visit aboard Dirga Kabila Boat. Each stop offers a unique adventure from pink beaches to dragon encounters.
KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

Five old university friends reunited aboard Dirga Kabila Boat for a long-overdue escape. The intimacy of four cabins amplified the camaraderie—we shared stories late into the night, lulled by gentle swells near Taka Makassar. The sandbar there, a sliver of white in endless blue, became our playground by day. Snorkelling at Castle Rock revealed a wall of anthias and a curious Napoleon wrasse that followed me for minutes. The crew, led by a captain with 20 years in these waters, balanced professionalism with warmth, never intruding but always present. Meals were communal feasts: coconut curry, grilled reef fish, and tropical fruit that tasted impossibly fresh. My only reservation? The lower deck lighting could be brighter for reading, though that encouraged us to put books down and talk instead. One evening, anchored beneath a meteor shower near Kalong, we toasted with local palm wine—simple, profound. Dirga Kabila didn’t just ferry us between islands; it held space for reconnection, laughter, and the kind of quiet joy that only deep water and old friends can bring.

We chose Dirga Kabila Boat for its understated elegance—no crowds, no pretense. As a honeymoon pair, privacy mattered, and the Master Suite, with its ensuite and subtle Javanese carvings, offered just that. Our days unfolded gently: sunrise at Pink Beach, where the sand’s hue glowed faintly in the early light, then a slow sail to Gili Lawa for diving. The coral shelves teemed with batfish and reef sharks—nothing overly dramatic, but deeply immersive. One night, the crew arranged a private dinner on deck, torches flickering in the breeze. It wasn’t theatrical, just perfectly timed. The only hiccup: a generator noise early one morning, quickly resolved. But that’s the nature of boats—real, not resort-perfect. What stayed with me was the quiet competence of the staff, who seemed to know when to appear and when to vanish.

Tapi overall, this is the kind of solitude that fuels creativity.

Coming from the perpetual motion of Las Vegas, I needed stillness. Dirga Kabila Boat delivered it in waves. The contrast between my world and this—22 meters of teak floating above volcanic islands—was almost violent in its beauty. We spent hours at Manta Point, where the rhythm of their flight grounded me. Later, at Taka Makassar, we walked the sandbar until the tide reclaimed it, laughing like children. The boat’s compact design fosters closeness; my wife and I shared quiet coffees on the foredeck each morning, watching flying fish skitter. Crew were masters of the unseen—appearing with towels just as we surfaced, vanishing when conversation deepened. The master cabin, while snug, had a sense of privacy that surprised me. Only gripe? Limited socket types for US devices, easily solved with adapters. One evening, anchored near Kalong, we watched thousands of bats spiral into dusk—a metaphor, perhaps, for release. Dirga Kabila didn’t just show us Komodo; it helped me unplug, exhale, remember how to be quiet.
