L'Al Madira Semi Phinisi è stato il palcoscenico perfetto per il mio wellness retreat. Ogni mattina, yoga a bordo mentre il sole si alzava su Taka Makassar, con la brezza leggera che accarezzava il ponte in teak. La master suite era elegante ma discreta — niente eccessi, solo comfort raffinato. Abbiamo fatto snorkeling a Bidadari Beach, dove i colori del reef sono quasi surreal. Il massaggiatore a bordo è stato una sorpresa piacevole: sessioni di aromaterapia dopo ogni escursione. Forse l’unica nota? Il wifi era un po’ intermittente, ma in fondo era proprio quello il punto: disconnettersi. Il team di bordo, comunque, impeccabile: servizio silenzioso, mai invadente. L’itinerario ben calibrato tra momenti di attività e pause di lettura in amaca. Un equilibrio raro. La cena a lume di candela su Long Beach, con suoni del mare e piatti fusion leggeri, è stata una delle serate più armoniose che ricordi. Non cercavo lusso sfrenato, ma autenticità con un tocco di elegance — l’ho trovato qui.

L’itinerario ci ha portato a Bidadari Beach, dove abbiamo pranzato su una spiaggia deserta, e a Taka Makassar, dove il tramonto ha acceso il cielo di arancione. La master suite era piccola ma perfetta — il letto matrimoniale con lenzuola di cotone egiziano, e un bagno esterno che ti fa sentire nudo sotto il cielo. Abbiamo fatto snorkeling insieme a Long Beach: pesci pappagallo, tartarughe, coralli vivaci. Il servizio a bordo? Silenzioso, discreto, mai invadente. Una sera, il chef ha preparato una cena giapponese fusion — sushi con pesce locale, wasabi fatto in casa. Un tocco di genialità. L’unica cosa che avrei voluto? Un po’ più di privacy durante i momenti comuni, ma capisco che su un phinisi di 26 metri ci sono limiti. L’atmosfera, però, era intima. Con i miei figli (9 e 12 anni) e mia moglie, cercavamo un viaggio che coniugasse avventura e relax senza rinunciare al comfort. L'Al Madira Semi Phinisi si è rivelato una scelta azzeccata. Fin dal check-in a Labuan Bajo, l’organizzazione è stata impeccabile. I ragazzi hanno occupato una Standard Cabin con letti a castello, spaziosa e ben ventilata — niente odore di chiuso, nonostante il sole cocente. Durante l’itinerary, Padar Island ci ha lasciato senza fiato: l’escursione al belvedere è impegnativa ma fattibile anche con i bambini, e la vista dall’alto giustifica ogni passo. Il pomeriggio successivo, a Pink Beach, hanno nuotato fino allo scoglio centrale mentre noi genitori ci siamo concessi un massaggio sulla spiaggia, organizzato in pochi minuti dallo staff. A Komodo Island, la guida naturalista è stata eccezionale — ha saputo coinvolgere i piccoli con storie sui draghi, rendendo il trekking quasi un gioco. Unico appunto: il menù per i più piccoli poteva essere un po’ più vario, ma hanno comunque apprezzato gli spaghetti aglio e olio serviti a bordo. L’atmosfera a bordo è sobriamente lussuosa: niente fronzoli, ma ogni cosa funziona. Un’esperienza che bilancia natura selvaggia e qualità, senza sorprese spiacevoli.

Abbiamo trascorso una mattina intera a Bidadari Beach, dove l’acqua trasparente e la sabbia candida sembravano uscite da un drone shot di National Geographic. Il team di bordo, discreto ma sempre presente, ha organizzato un picnic leggero con frutta locale e tartine, perfetto per chi — come me — preferisce evitare pasti pesanti in gravidanza. L’unica nota: il WiFi era un po’ intermittente, ma forse era un bene, in fondo.
